They kind of deserved it... They lost 34 percent, instead of gaining anything for their team. And they were all to blame.
Yeah the batting cage was cool, and it was lots of good will with the kids, but they didn't make any money and that was the task... And I just have to say, I haven't been watching faithfully this season, but Caroline has gotten quite glammed up this season... she was an attractive woman before, but she had a bit of an edge to her and kind of hard looking (and looked older than her age) this season... she's changed her look..

She was probably focus grouped and the producers decided to sofen her up a bit.

I know television is all about the pretty people (well except George and Donald) but it's sad that they or she felt she had to be prettied up, she was hired, I'm sure, for her intelligence... Ah well, I'm thread jacking and rambling - a bad combination

I'm not ashamed to admit I've been enjoying both Apprentice shows. Last night's was a real corker. It was the right decision because it would have been unfair to fire the saleswoman only. I'm curious how this affects the episode count. Does this mean there are three episodes less than last year? I suppose they can just have 3 two part episodes instead.
To be clear, I'm no Donald Trump acolyte. I just really enjoy watching these business nerds flail about. Carol is especially fun to watch. Her observations and questions are always spot on. Maleficient: Last night, Carol did look different somehow. I can't quite put my finger on it. EDIT: <i>Having read Mal's next post</i>: I actually thought she looked worse at the beginning; like she had a rough night.

Yeah, that was a shock.
I looooved the taxi ride at the end. Nobody said a word. I am looking forward to the start of the next episode where the others in the loft are waiting to see who comes back and who are in the boardroom. They will stay up late, waiting for the people, looking at the door... but noone is coming. that was an excellent (and deserving) twist.

When he fired them all I laughed my ass off!!!! Fricking crazy.
Super funny @ the end when they usually do the "Cab Ride" Monologue... and no one was saying anything. Super hilarious. This show makes me laugh every episode. What I love about Reality TV is that they choose their contestants so perfectly... IMO. They create the dissonance from day 1. I love the crying... the talking behind the back... it makes me laugh. Although the Apprentice is one of the only ones I download/watch weekly. I check out The Ultimate Fighter now and again... but thats different. You don't get the same dynamic with only men. Anyways.... Funny episode none the less. Cheers!

Caroline has gotten REALLY skinny too. Not good.
I had the same thought about the episode count, but Donald needs to consult with the producers before firing anyone, so clearly he was given the green light

I get a weird feeling that they may bring back some of the already fired players - but not one of these four. It'll be "As a good executive, you have to know when you've made a mistake" or some other pearl of wisdom from Donald.
And my second thought after all for got fired was - how will they fit in the cab. They didn't even let one sit in front. F-ing great.

I just watched it ans what a great episode. They got smoked at the competition, I love the deer in the headlight look they all had when Donald told them they were all fired. I was wondering the same thing about the cab, that didn't look very comfortable at all.

I liked the cab thing it was interesting... But you have to realize that after the cab returns back to the trump building since they stay there until the show airs (this way no one knows results).
I had a feeling something like this might happen this season, how many board room firsts can there be. |

Very good episode. I loved it too. The cab ride was awesome.
Did anyone see the past episode? Marcus was fired and he deserved it. He even tried to talk back to Donald at the end. The best part was the cab ride. I made my wife rewind and play that part again. What the hell was he trying to say? What is he ever trying to say?

For added enjoyment when watching The Apprentice, drink a shot every time someone says "you have to step up" or utters another bland aphorism. Example: "To succeed, you've got to do your best."
However, don't have a shot every time you see a clumsy product placement. That would be dangerous to your health. Everytime you wonder <i>"How can you fire someone you haven't hired yet?"</i>, turn off the TV and go to bed.

Um, for those of you who watched the finale - Randall turned into a douche!
My guess is he didn't quite get what Trump was offering - not a second Apprentice, but rather just hiring a second person. Wouldn't be surprised to see a recant tomorrow morning.

It was pretty shocking to watch Randall blithely ignore Trump's awkward set up. I can't argue with Randall's reasoning, or fault him for declining a tie though. This was a competition and he was declared the winner. It was Trump and the producers, who totally botched the double hiring. Trump should have done it himself, rather than leave it up to Randall to decide. It'll take some mighty spin to get Rebecca hired without crossing the "storyline" We'll see if things change tomorrow.

agreed. He should've done a double "you're hired". Asking Randall was just trying to be cute, and clearly they were running out of time and the whole thing got rushed.

I agree that it would have been cool to have them both hired, and I think it was a bit shady of Randall not to go along with it,, but I can see why he didn't. I also think that is what trump was eluding to when he had them deciede which job they wanted and made the commet about "well that should make things easy" when they each picked a different job. too bad for rebecca,, but it was kindof rushed and thats the beauty of live TV I guess.

I think the reason Donald offered Randall the chance to agree was because during the regular tasks, Rebecca and Randall seemed to genuinely respect each other and Donald was thinking that Randall would easily allow for Rebecca to be hired, too.
I had all kinds of respect for Randall up until he "turned into a douche" as balderdash so appropriately termed it. He was justifiably booed for that move. I also agree that Donald should have done the double "you're hired" himself. It certainly would've saved on a very awkward moment.
