Capote

Just got back from this wonderful little film.

It's an excerpt from the life of Truman Copote, one of America's greatest writers and his ordeal in writing the book he is best known for: "In Cold Blood".

The acting was superb, though I have to confess I am a fan of Philip Seymour Hoffman.

However I feel that the supporting cast is left out to dry. There is little to no development of supporting characters. The synematography is picturesque and makes the film look good but once again a little dry.

Over all its a great film, but don't expect to be overly entertained by it. You have to be in the mood for it.

Do you realize you spelled your thread "Capote" meaning "Condom" in French?

Turman really did sound like a squiky mouse. I hear thet Hoffman captured his voicer rather well. That's part of the character though isn't it. The way everyone who first hears him dismisses him because of his voice.

As if the author didn't have enough out of the ordinary characteristics to poke fun off!

Philip Seymour Hoffman was Truman Capote. A wonderful performance and I am sure he will be in the running come oscar night.

I haven't seen this yet, but saw a clip, and you're right, Hoffman is the only one who could have played Capote
