Where's Scrubs?

Did I miss something? Is Scrubs coming back? Can someone give me the goods?

Bill O'Rights 11-08-2005 11:29 AM

I hope it is. What good is living life, without a weekly dose of Sarah Chalk? :(

Oh well, at least Alyson is back on the airwaves again. I've always got that

Cheryl Hines has been tapped for a guest-starring spot on NBC's medical comedy Scrubs, which is heading into its fifth season.

The question is...where will they put it?

It used to air on Tuesdays at 8:00/8:30, but now they have The Biggest Loser at that spot. At 9:00, they have My Name is Earl and the Office, so that's not an option. I guess maybe it will come back once the Biggest Loser is off the air.

Come back soon!

silent_jay 11-08-2005 12:13 PM

I saw an interview with Zach Braff I can't remember when or where but he said they're coming back they were filiming episodes for the new season. Jesus I can't wait I love this show. Putting it in the Biggest Losers spot would be great, Scrubs, My name is Earl and The Office what a great night of TV that would be.

thatoneguy 11-08-2005 01:29 PM

I don't have the link right now, but I read an article posted somewhere that said the new season of Scrubs will be on this season, just not when the new ones are right now. Probably around January or so, I suspect.

I read an article talking about how NBC took a chance on My Name Is Earl because it had success with other oddball comedies like Scrubs and The Office. It'd be fitting to have the three shows working together back-to-back-to-back.

stevie667 11-08-2005 03:09 PM

Woo! I really wana see what happens in the conclusion of the season four finale, lol.

Daoust 11-09-2005 03:59 AM

So it sounds like it's coming back! That's good news. I also like this show, and I do love Sarah Chalke as well.

As a point of interest - what do all three of these leading ladies have in common?

Sarah Chalke - Scrubs
Evangeline Lily - LOST
Cobie Smulders - How I Met Your Mother

Other than the fact that they are all so very hot??? Any guesses???

boom29 11-09-2005 11:25 AM

Taking a wild guess here, but...

...did they all do commercials for a phone sex service?

Daoust 11-09-2005 11:43 AM

That is a good, but incorrect guess.

Keep trying...

stevie667 11-09-2005 01:39 PM

They all operate sex phone services?

lol.

Latch 11-10-2005 04:40 AM

They're all sex symbols people lust after :D

Daoust 11-10-2005 08:42 AM

No no no no no.

We are all a product of our environment...

Seething 11-10-2005 03:05 PM

They're all Canadian?

Daoust 11-10-2005 04:42 PM

YOU WIN, SEETHING. They are indeed all from the Great White North

wikkachik 11-18-2005 03:53 PM

I am so exicted I can't wait for season five! it should be a really good one. and season 2 just came out on DVD, so yeah for that too:)

Locobot 11-20-2005 02:23 PM

wow, really no justice in a world where unfunny shows like this get renewed but arrested development gets cancelled

Yay.. drive-by flamebait rules.

On topic, Zach Braff (who plays J.D., in case you don't know), posted a video of himself on his blog talking about what he's been up to. He said they had taped up to episode 7 so far, NBC had bought 22 total for this season, and the latest rumour (that he's heard) was that the show would be returning in January (no idea of what day/timeslots though).. here's hoping..

Season 1 and 2 dvd are out... go buy them, support the show!

In the season finale last year, did she not get a job at a different hospital? If this is the case, I would assume she will not be on the show anymore.

h.n. cheerios 11-29-2005 11:23 AM

someone refresh my memory...what happened on the very last episode of the season?

Latch 11-29-2005 12:16 PM

What happened at the end of last season was: Spoiler: JD Moved out to his own place. He lives above/below/next to a hot chick... and her boyfriend. Elliot got a job at another hospital. Carla and Turk umm.. can't remember.. think they're just normal

sailor 11-30-2005 12:08 PM

Wait... Spoiler: Eliot is gone? :( Sorry, I missed the last couple episodes of last season and don't have a way to "acquire" them right now :(

boom29 12-12-2005 08:58 PM

Just thought I'd update the thread.

Scrubs returns on January 3rd. Yay!!

Can't wait.

Spoiler: Eliot left Sacred Heart, but she's still a part of the show. I'm not sure how well that will work out, but I'll be watching.

Daoust 12-13-2005 04:42 AM

Eliot is Sarah Chalke, right? One of the best things about Scrubs? And she's gone? Or is Eliot the Heather Graham character, whose absence I will not notice as much?

Nikilidstrom 12-13-2005 02:46 PM

its Chalke, but as maximusveritas said, she will remain a part of the show.

Daoust 01-05-2006 08:10 AM

It's back, baby. It's back. I caught two episodes, one of which I think was new on Tuesday p.m. Still makes me laugh.

Latch 01-06-2006 12:47 AM

Two episodes were on Tuesday. They were both brand new.

I thought they were OK. JD seems a bit.. I'm not sure what the word is.. stuck upish? more confident? Something like that.. he seemed better (or maybe I got used to it) by the second episode. Maybe Zach Braff was just taking a show or two to get back into the character.

heywatsup 01-06-2006 10:17 PM

im just glad it came back after talks of it not returning :(

boom29 01-07-2006 12:13 PM

Nooooooooooooo. I totally missed it.

maximusveritas 01-24-2006 07:21 PM

So what does everyone think of the new season so far? I've been kind of disappointed with it. I didn't laugh once during a couple of episodes and apparently this will be the last season since it hasn't improved in the ratings.

The_Jazz 01-25-2006 06:45 AM

I love it, and I've been laughing out loud more than usual, at least according to my wife. Last night's episode with the "Wizard of Oz" send up was pretty funny, especially with the green kid.

heywatsup 01-26-2006 10:33 PM

hahah yeh, im so glad it came back :D

the jokes will never get old for me~

captobvious 02-11-2006 11:46 AM

i'm glad it is back as well

the first couple of episodes did seem a little off, but now they're just as good as they have always been. it will be a shame if this is the last season.

Latch 02-11-2006 06:00 PM

I dunno, it still seems like Zach Braff is acting too.. cocky.. or something. Just seems like everything's an act.. while Seasons 1, 2, 3, 4 (somewhat) seemed to have more "true" J.D.

It's hard to explain...

I still laugh at least 5 times and episode.

I thought so too in the first couple of episodes this season, but it hasn't bothered me since then. I think they did it on purpose since J.D. is an attending now, not just a resident. I guess I feel that it is supposed to be an act in a way, because J.D. feels cockier now that he is an attending. However, a lot of the things that happen to him show that he is still basically the same person as before.

stevie667 02-12-2006 04:42 AM

Can someone tell me what the technical difference is between intern, resident and attending, beyond lots of shouting and nervous guy? lol. Is it just time frame related ranks, or is there someting more?
