Irvine Welsh fans
Any Irvine Welsh fans out there?
What do you think about his later work? Years ago Trainspotting had a big impact on me, and nothing he has written since has been really close. I liked Ecstasy and i just finished Glue (which was pretty good). Porno was a big let down, although it was fun to see what Renton and the boys were up to. |
I've wanted to read Porno for a long time, but have never gotten aroung to buying it. I wasn't sure whether or not it was going to be a good book, I just wanted to see what happened next after seeing Trainspotting

Porno is not brilliant.
It's got some crossover with trainspoting (characters and locations), but it's a long way from being as groundbreaking. |
I've read both Trainspotting and Ecstacy--loved both. Haven't gotten beyond those two though. Ecstacy was by far my favorite of the two.
Eventually I'll get around to reading his other books :) |
Yeah Trainspotting was the best for me. My favourite character was Spud.
