Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children --NEW TRAILER--
I also posted this in the gaming section for the gamers that have been following this as long as I have (if that's a nono, I apologize, feel free to delete this)
on my website I've hosted the newest trailer for Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children. This trailer was released at E3 apparently, and it's absolutely breathtaking, in my personal opinion. http://www.uberakito.com Go to my site there, latest entry will contain the link to the trailer.. just right click and save as. :) |
holy shiat. I've watched it 4 times, time to post. Now I'm more excited. Glad to see there's a release date finally!
|
Ya, it only took them, what, 2 years to actually give us a release date? :) Better yet, it's coming out THIS year, haha. Good news all around. :)
|
How similar is this movie to the actual FF7 game? Ive always wanted them to make a movie based on FF7 since that is IMO the best final fantasy game that was made (best story at least)

Watched the trailer but cant see a release date?
Could someone fill me in please? Is it a US release - if so it would be good to be released in November in time for my trip  |
at the end of the trailer, it says: released in the US: sept 13. 2005. and sept 14 in japan.
one thing i must know: if i never played the games, will i understand this movie? do they explain the stuff that's there? like the awesome weapons, the special powers? or am i suposed to allready know this? |
I'm pretty confident in saying that 1) If you've never played Final Fantasy VII you'll probably have a difficult time associating with and understanding the movie and 2) If you've never played Final Fantasy in general, you'll have a REALLY hard time with the movie. Of course, you could probably look up the story of FFVII online or something and maybe that would fill you in. I'm not really sure - perhaps someone else can answer this question more satisfactorily.
As for the trailer: WOW. The other trailers looked great, but this one is just amazing. when I watched it, my roommate - who has never played Final Fantasy or really anything like that (he pretty much only plays sports games) - said, "that looks awesome." Indeed it does. |
i've been waiting for this flick for a looooooong time. i heard about it probably a year and a half to two years ago and i about shat myself. i was a bit skeptic at first when i heard about this one (what with the ball of crap that was Spirits Within) but i dont see how they could go wrong when you're basically writing a follow up to one of the best final fantasy games (IMO FFIII is the best hands down).
*EDIT: just watched the trailer... WOWIE WOW WOW. WOWIE WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW. |
what's the use of a final fantasy story when everyone can take a phoenix down and wreak havoc again!
that trailer was nice. Some of the effects will be tuned I hope (Like all of yuffi) but it was really pleasent. Kinda sad they didn't cast ben affleck for anything in this movie being that he had a main role in Spirits Within |
im so sad that this is going to be a PSP excusive thing.....
i so want to see it...but i dont want to get a PSP to do so |

Wow...I'm so stoked. I have the other trailer, which I thought was awsome already, but now this. I catch a glimpse of Sepheroth at the end so I figure he's gonna have a duel with Cloud. If that's the case, all I can say is "teh bomB!!!" :D
Oh, and thanks for sharing. :) |

at least thats what they have been saying. Skimming around over there i cannot find evidence otherwise. |
Interesting, I've never heard that before.
Well, if you look at the official URL, I think it's fair to say it's coming out on DVD: http://www.square-enix.co.jp/dvd/ff7ac/ |
