I'm currently reading a alternate history book about general custer, and he just said to the french ambassador, "Thou art a man of oedipal habits!"

Did he just call him a mother-fucker?

haha, or else he enjoys women who LOOK like his mom. I think your guess is probably correct. I'm sure when he said that, the room got awfully awkward and chilly.
