Bully
I just watched Bully IMDB Info last night. Twice.
It is extremely graphic and very realistic as opposited to films based on murderers but those kinds of films are often over-dramatic. I found it to be an excellent film simply because it gave me an insight to what the kids were feeling after murdering a bully from high school. The fact that all those kids looks like any average joe/jane in high schools and anybody you go to school or work could be targeting you. I recommend this film for parents who are raising kids that are attending high school. |
This film is based on a true story - which makes it even more hard hitting. You either love or hate the work of Larry Clark (Kids, Gummo), but be prepared - his work is not for the squeamish. He uncovers the ugliness that lies in mundane, everyday life.
Nick Stahl is one of the most underated actors around. If you haven't seen "My life as a house" with Nick and Kevin Kline, it is worthwhile. His choices in roles are brave and I think he is poised to be one of the next important actors... |
ya i wrote a mini review in the "rate the last movie you watched" thread. it was a tad bland to tell ya the truth. the acting is great, but there was a lack of script imo. if you still have the dvd check out the special features. it has the mugshots of the actual kids and all the interviews with the cast.

A great movie. Every time it comes on cable I check it out. Great story and great acting. I agree that Nick Stahl is an underrated actor.
