Can this really be happening?

Oh... it's happening. And, I'm sure it's gonna be bad... oh so bad.
DB. |
Yes of course it will be bad, but that doesn't mean I'm not going to watch it. :-)
|
I hope it's a family comedy staring Jar Jar. That way Lucas will be killed and this madness will be stopped.

Star Wars Transvestites? No thank you!!
Oh, wait, you are talking about television. Never mind.... |

Star Wars was not meant for television, they just need to leave it alone!

Of course it's going to be bad, I mean from everything we know about the TV show it sounds terrible, oh wait, all we know is that it has been announced.... MY GOD THIS SHOW IS GONNA SUCK!
How many posts until a "LUCAS RAPED MY CHILDHOOD... AND MY MOM!" message pops up? |
Of course it's going to suck, and I'll probably still watch it...

Well, I think it can be cool if they take real actors and not animation and if they did it right.
The most important thing is that they would need to do it in the "star Wars Universe " with non-main characters. Kind of like a bounty hunter show or something. It can be done and keep the integrity of Star Wars. Will the producers do it that way though ? who knows? But It would be cool if they were able to add to Star wars without muddling whatr is already there. Kind of like with Star Trek. You had the original series and they came out with the next generation and everyone is like what the fuck? but the next generation turned out to be even more compelling then the first and for the most part it was all different characters. Lets just hope it is not animation. |
After reading this thread, I finally discovered the pleasure of Sprite leaving through my nose. Thanks :p

makes some sense, timing wise- the star trek thing is panned out, zena, herc, buffy, angel, and andromeda are gone- wide open field with a proven franchise- what network would say no? now lets hope george has the sense not to fuck it up like the rest of his legacy..................

I don't know....I kind of liked the animated series on Cartoon Network, even Obi-Wan's lame-ass voice work.
Live action would be hard to do. Much, much harder than an animated show, I would think. I would also think (or rather, hope) that Lucas' involvement with the series begins and ends with the rubber stamp seal of approval. If I wanted 27 minute fragments of Lucas' "vision" I'd just watch the last two crapfest movies of his with little breaks for snacks and Tums. |

Plus, we still have the two Stargate series. |
umm... queer eye for the jedi guy? get him out of those dingy brown robes and into something stylish and possibly leather, and cut off those mullets for something more modern.

I remember George Lucas saying he wanted to do something with TV after Episode III, but I thought he ment something besides Star Wars. I just don't understand Geroge Lucas. He must be insane.
