Books-->Movies that a great...and not
I was wondering what are some of the best complimenting books that were made into movies. Where the book adds to the movie and the movie adds to the book. I think that Fight Club is a perfect example of this, where both the movie and the book hold their own as works of art (and political art at that, nicely done), but both compliment each other so well they really should be packaged together. I think Fincher really tapped into the pacing and flow and feel of the novel with the decisions he made with cutting, costuming, coloring, hell, even casting. Sidebar, what actor/actress do you think brings to life a character from a book the best? I'll stick with Brad Pitt as Tyler Durden.
