LOL at the replies, since I found this film boring as hell. Watched about 2/3 of it and then gave up.

I thought the movie was very cliche and predictable.

Too many "hollywood" parts where it's like "yeah... as if that'd happen."

For instance, flipping that car goin 70 mph. Sorry, but ya aren't just gonna up and walk away from a wreck like that

The part in the club where he just so happens to shoot the guy aiming for Max JUST IN TIME. Yeahhhh, right.

...or in the club, when he starts shooting, and people still keep dancing. Mmmkay then. So, half the club is gonna panic and run while the others just keep partying w/ police and hitmen running through the place in plain view? ;)

Low battery on cell phone JUST AS the warning call goes through. OH WOW, what a coincidence!

Max just so happens to park directly under the window where a guy will get thrown out of not even a minute later, huh? Suure.

Sorry, that stuff just ruins movies for me. Suspending disbelief works up to a point.. then it just starts getting ridiculous.

I can go on and on.

This would also be acceptable if it was a movie like Indiana Jones.. something completely fictional, adventerous, and fantasy. However... this movie was portrayed to be something that COULD happen in real life.. and that ain't gonna work.

All of the stuff you mentioned was actually events that would more likely happen in real life than in a movie. A car wreck at 70 MPH is very dangerous, but not everyone dies in car wrecks, especially wrecks that don't involve high speed collisions. Flip wrecks are much less dangerous than simple slam into concrete crashes. How do you know someone who was a partner with Max wouldn't be watching him to make sure he didn't get shot? The music in the nightclub was incredibly loud. Nightclubs have VERY loud music. Shoving is commonplace. Again, a crowd reacting to the formulaic duck and roll procedure to gunshots would make it seem like they knew the gunshot was going to happen. He got the cellphone off of a random guy that was using it...why is the battery going dead not realistic? The damn battery goes dead in my phone enough to make it VERY realistic. Vincent did in fact tell Max to park behind the building in the alley, so the guy landing on top of the car wasn't a huge feat.

Even if you disagree with that viewpoint, what would be the point of movies if every event were the same model of what went on in real life? What would be the point of movies? I don't understand how normal events can ruin a movie.
