GODZILLA FINAL BOX

Toho announced an amazing DVD box set of every Godzilla film called Godzilla Final Box. The inital set will consist of all 27 Godzilla films with a place for Godzilla Final Wars when released next summer, and 3 bonus DVDs including the American version of Godzilla, King of the Monsters, Legend of Godzilla, and Godzilla Fantasia. Also included is a pictorial booklet covering 50 years of Godzilla, poster repros, and some kind of vinyl Godzilla head sculpted Fuyuki Shinada of GMK fame. The set will cost 95,000 yen or 99,750 with tax. Discs are region 2 and will not likely have Engish subtitles. Pre-order deadline for Godzilla Final Box is on November 3, 2004 with the last deadine on January 11th, 2005 with a sale date of April 22, 2005. Toho's Godzilla website suggests the first deadline to make sure you are able to secure a set. More information on pre-ordering when available, probably by fall.

I thought the Alien Quadrilogy was a crazy box set... I think of the upcoming Matrix, Star Wars, and LOTR, but this is the KING of BOX sets....

Pretty sweet. Too bad it won't have English subtitles, be sold in the states, or, for that matter, cost a reasonable amount. It'd be fun to watch all 27 Godzilla movies sometime.

Oh well. Pretty cool either way.

What's the Yen to U.S. conversion amount?
Also, it doesn't include the Matthew Broderick Godzilla, does it?

Damn, why couldn't they release this thing in two or three years when I'll be out of school and earning some money. The price will probably be four or five times that on ebay in five years.

Damnnn, I think I'd rather buy a good digital camera with that amount. :D

Holy crap! That would be so cool to have, sure is a lot of kablingy though. For $875 I want my own Godzilla suit also.
