I dont know if this is true or not but I was listening to the radio today and the radio DJ said that one of the Olsen Twins admitted to being anorexic a couple of days ago. It really doesn't suprise me. Just take a look at them. I was wondering did anyone else hear the same kind of thing?

Well we just have to look at the bright side. In a way, it is good that they're role models for little girls, because it shows them that its ok to come forward to get help with that DISEASE that most of them don't know they have.

Was there ever any doubt as to if they did have an eating disorder? They are disgustingly skinny. I feel bad for girls that think it has to be skinny or nothing. We need a good, fuller woman rolemodel in the industry.

no, it's not a surprise that they have an eating disorder, we live in a society that idolizes the unhealithily thin in women and girls. I hope this makes a few of the men out there who have advocated "hitting it" think a little bit about how twisted our beauty ideals are.

It is not society's twisted beauty ideals, it is Hollywood's beauty ideals. How many people here were disgusted when they saw the pictures of the uber-skinny twins? Almost everybody. Not many people like the "i can see your ribs" look in girls.

not enough -- there's still many web pages devoted to how pretty they are with no mention of how unhealthy they look. i fully admit that our societies beauty ideal are virtually dictated by hollywood's misguided standards but that doesn't make such scary ideals any less "ours"

Actually, they've no longer identical. one is taller.
Also, one has a small mole/freckle on her cheek.

Being rich and famous isn't all it's cracked up to be, I guess. I kinda feel sorry for them both.
