Joan of Arcaida: Season Finale ****SPOILER ALERT**** - Tilted Forum Project Discussion Community

Did anyone catch the finale?

I've been watching the show more and more toward the end of the season and it's deffinitely grown on me. It somehow manages to not be preachy even though sometimes it can be a little too tame.

That said tonights episode was freaky compared to the the reast of the rest of the season, especially with those twins (did anyone not think of The Shining). You had to wonder if she was going crazy or what. Of course it was all to set up her illness and to give fuel for her doubt.

My only complaint is that while it was interesting to see Joan's parents' brushes with God (or at least the supernatural) I wish they had just gone a different route, or been more subtle. Because now the viewer knows that God had really talked to Joan and it was not a sympton of her illness, even if Joan doesn't. And the visit at the end by the recurring young man God was clearly meant to end any doubts that it was all real.

I guess it's a minor complaint since the shows writers clearly wanted the crisis of faith to be Joan's and not include the viewers. But an open ending and some suspense would have been kind of cool.

Still, I think it's the best episode I've seen this season. And I liked the way they handled the kiss between Joan's dorky brother and her best friend.

Unfortunately I haven't been able to cath up on it, so I didn't watch the finale- but my mom tapes it then hands them to us to watch- so we'll se it soon!

btw- i skimmed over your post, but I didn't want to read it but Where are the spoilers?
