I read it YEARS ago and am looking for it again. It's a scifi book. I remember it was something about an orb. It had 2 guys flying ships called Trodat Star Fighters. I found this website http://members.aol.com/TheUnicornRiders/

which is someone's screenplay based on the book but the dink doesn't say WHAT the book is called or who wrote it.

Anyone able to help me out here?

Haven't read it, but might it be The Unicorn Riders of the Orb
by Michael G. Moore?
