Animal Faceoff
How many of you have seen that show? i've caught the first 3 episodes, and all i can say is that those are the only three that i'll be catching. THAT SHOW SUCKS.
the concept itself sounds pretty fucking good. pit rival animals at eachother and see which one would win. sounds great...but just the fact that they spend 1 minute fighting, while the rest of the show is spent having metal heads bite and smash into stuff is boring as fuck. oh, and not to mention that EVERY EPISODE IS THE SAME. the narrator of the show pretty much says the same exact phrases throughout the show. the chronology of the show is always the same, its just the different animals that they explain...and even then most of the "facts" they gather doesnt really come from actual in-the-wild evidence. i think i'm just pissed off at the Discovery Channel. this is one of the first series that they actually failed to entertain their audience. this show had so much potential, but they ruined it by not being able to hold their audience's interest throughout the show. the actual computer generated faceoffs could be cool, but they are entirely too short, really not worth the agony of having to watch the rest of the show. i know other's probably have a different opinion, and i'd like to hear it. |
before you said Discovery Channel and CG faceoffs, i thought this was some underground show that was like cockfighting, actual animals (ie, no wonder i never heard of it).
i feel sort of stupid now. |
I saw the one last night with the lion and tiger. I thought it was pretty stupid. I would have liked to see two or three scenarios, instead of just one.

Anyone see the Cartoon Network "Adult Swim's" spoof? They go one step further by asking the question "Who would win in a fight? A FLYING shark, or FLYING crocodile?"

^ the flying croc won...the fight was so anti-climactic but hilarious

the fighting was pretty damn funny though. i totally forgot that they were doing the climax tonight, but i caught it during Home Movies. |
Hmmm...haven't seen that one. I'm wondering how it came about, though--it seems like every animal rights group EVER would be on that one.

I was wondering about this show. I saw a commerical for it and it looks awesome, but I guess from what you guys are saying I'll probably skip it.
