I just have to get this out of my system. How many of you have seen this ad and thought, why can't all the other commercials, many of which suck so profoundly, be this silly/memorable/etc.? I don't want to go overboard, but I think it's an award shy of brilliant.

We sit thru and are exposed to so many mindless, insulting, textbook brown-paper-bag make-you-wanna-vomit ads, (or buy an older TiVo with the commercial skip, or just buy this puppy)....Ugh!

I realize. Too much TV. I hear ya.

It's just that some of it, or I guess a lot of it, both the ads and some of the programs, are so insulting to our intelligence....it's ridiculous. Who is their target market? A bunch of mindless automatons?

Alright, I'll go get a TiVo or something. I just can't read with my (undiagnosed) adult ADD. :)

I started a thread about a dumb commercial in another area & realized this kind of thing may belong here in Tilted Entertainment. Mods! Help me find the right area, or I'm Doomed! (doomed!). ;)

I remember the first time I saw it, I was on the floor, laughing to remove my buttocks.

That sure is better than most of the other crap that is out there.

For some reason, every time I see that, I'm reminded of Captain Kirk in star trek....

New commercial trend I hate: Commercials so annoying they stick in your brain for years. Namely Quizno's ad. Anything Pepsi. Dr Pepper "Be you". I could go on for years.

Yes, it makes me think about your product. But no, I don't want to buy it. In fact, I want to pick it up off the shelf and throw it across the god damn store, and then stomp on it, and if its a liquid I will stab it with my HARDENED ANGER.

I love that Chinese commercial, probably because that's exactly how my dad talks.

The problem is that if you get a Tivo unit, you're going to forward through said commercials, and little pieces of brilliance like this won't be seen. That'll be sad. :(
