The gay ice dancer came up because he was getting married, not because she was. Those were the two that I came up with, too.

holtmate 03-21-2004 07:03 PM

Hey! Wasn't she also married to someone else in Vegas? When they're talking about Ross & Rachel's drunken wedding, Phoebe makes a comment that you're only married in Vegas, not anywhere else. And, when Monica (I think) tells her that it's a real marriage Phoebe says "Oh no..."

onetime2 03-22-2004 06:51 AM

In a show where Monica and Phoebe are in Central Perk (I believe) Phoebe says of a guy coming in, "There's my next husband". They then start talking about Phoebe's past husbands. The first was the gay ice dancer, the second was for "Stealing a stuffed animal" (whatever that means), and the third was the most recent one where she got married in the snow.

I just thought it was interesting that Phoebe's been married as many times as Ross.

teph 03-22-2004 03:19 PM

sounds good; someone ask one

Bobaphat 03-22-2004 03:48 PM

There is an episode that begins with Rachel in the kitchen when a pigeon flys in the window. Rachel proceeds to catch the pigeon with a pot. The question is, What did Rachel's shirt say on it during this sequence?

diddagirl 03-22-2004 05:42 PM

teph 03-22-2004 09:44 PM

Bobaphat 03-22-2004 11:44 PM

Nope, thats not it

teph 03-23-2004 07:46 AM

heh, shows what I know :)

moonstrucksoul 03-24-2004 10:17 AM

it said "USA" * i know i am right so i'll ask ahead.

What did Chandler say, to make Joey kick him out of Pheobe's cab on the George Washington bridge?

Bobaphat 03-24-2004 10:24 AM

That he didn't think that the movie he was filming would be his big break.

Bobaphat 03-24-2004 10:26 AM

Oh, and this is right. I remember this because every time I see that very tight shirt, all I can think to myself is "God bless the USA"

that's right, they were playing Pheobe's game where one person would ask a question, and the other person would have to answer immediately. and Chandler said 'no'.

your up, Bobaphat.

teph 03-25-2004 02:40 PM

ok, we need a new question. I'll ask if another day goes by.

IMO, waiting days takes away too much fun. If somone doesn't post soon after (within a day) of answering the question it's free game. That person can always post again later.

Ask away.

teph 03-26-2004 06:34 AM

That sounds like a good rule.

When Chandler and Phoebe are shopping for engagement rings, Phoebe asks the salesman what he has in the store for $10. What does he show her?

Great episode. He shows her two $5 bills.

Coming up with a question is always the hard part.

Why did Janice break up with Ross?

teph 03-26-2004 09:31 AM

because he was too whiny for her . . . or something to that effect

onetime2 03-26-2004 11:08 AM

Yep.

moonstrucksoul 03-27-2004 12:04 PM

this is kind of fucked, i have watching this thread off and on for the last 24 hours, out of respect for teph, but i got to ask a question to keep this rollin.

how did Joey get the part of 'Mac' in "Mac and CHEESE"?

teph 03-27-2004 01:07 PM

's quite alright - I forgot.

He got the part because the guy from a series of antihistamine commercials was attacked by a dog (not by flowers).

How many states did Rachel get in Chandler's Dumb States Game?

03-27-2004 03:48 PM

48.

(Interesting, and almost tough question!)

Q: How did Joey find out that Monica & Chandler were a "thing"?
Hint, there were 2 clues. Try to name both.

teph 03-27-2004 03:59 PM

They saw Donald Trump (somewhere around an elevator), and there was an eyelash curler of Monica's that ended up in Chandler's stuff.

Taking a few minutes to think up a question . . .

03-27-2004 04:08 PM

^^^ Actually the hotel called joey answered and they told him that someone left an eyelash curler there in Chandler's room. So when everyone was in Monica's apt. she asked to borrow Rachel's eyelash curler because she thought that she lost hers.

lol, that was one of the best episodes!

teph 03-27-2004 04:21 PM

ah crap, yeah

03-27-2004 05:57 PM

u can still post the next q, but hurry!!!!!!! lol

teph 03-28-2004 10:30 PM

man, I'm falling behind - be just a minute

The Mr Bowmont.

What was in the "Trifle" Rachel made?

Kadath 03-29-2004 05:53 AM

Beef and peas were the ingredients from the Shepard's Pie. She also had ladyfingers, strawberries, and whipped cream, I think. "It tastes like feet!"
Correct, or at least close enough?

Well, the answer I was looking for (and I definitely should have phrased it better) was how did Joey describe it...

Custard good, jam good, meat goooood

But yep close enough.

You're up...

Kadath 03-29-2004 07:13 AM

Rachel has three consecutive sex dreams about her male friends. Who is in
The first dream?
The second dream?
The third dream?

kulrblind 03-29-2004 09:26 AM

vague memories of this one...
I'll guess:

1) Ross
2) Joey
3) Joey and Chandler

?

Edit: I googled the script to confirm, and my guess is not entirely correct.

moonstrucksoul 03-29-2004 02:31 PM

nope, it goes.
1: joey
2: joey and chandler - love it when she says "y'know, there were times when it wasn't even me"-lmao
3: Ross

why did Monica become a chef?

sadistikdreams 03-29-2004 02:58 PM

beacuse everybody likes chefs, i guess. She wanted to be liked

03-29-2004 03:37 PM

Because when she was in high school, she made Chandler some special mac n cheese and he told her she should be a chef. ????

teph 03-29-2004 03:49 PM

it's debatable whether or not it's sadistik's answer or oshn's, because in the flashback thanksgiving episode, Chandler tells Monica to be a chef, and I think she responds with, "ok." but I'm not sure. At any rate, that's one reason.

The other comes in with TOW The Candy, when Chandler asks her, "Did you become a chef so people would like you?", and they hint around at that.

Whatever moonstrucksoul was going for, though :)

moonstrucksoul 03-29-2004 03:49 PM

Oshn's got it. more accurate of an answer

sadistikdreams 03-29-2004 04:33 PM

damn.

onetime2 03-29-2004 07:10 PM

Wasn't the wanting to be liked part from the shrink that Phoebe dated?

Kadath 03-30-2004 03:33 AM

No, it came up when Monica and Chandler were dating. He says something like "You became a chef so people would like you?" and she snaps back with something like "Do you really want to go there, funny man?" implying that he does the same thing with humor. The shrink was on her about eating, not cooking. "It's just food -- not love."

That's right, thanks.

kulrblind 03-30-2004 07:22 AM

so... is there a new question on the table? :::OshnSoul::: ?

teph 03-30-2004 08:27 AM

Very good explanation, kadath. I remember that now, thanks.

03-30-2004 01:16 PM

ok, sorry.

Here we go:

When Monica couldn't resist opening her and Chandler's wedding gifts, what is the first gift she opens?

sadistikdreams 03-30-2004 05:33 PM

toaster

moonstrucksoul 03-30-2004 07:31 PM

i know the answer, and that's not it.

sadistikdreams 03-30-2004 10:38 PM

Yeah, I know. But its the stereotype wedding gift.

teph 03-30-2004 11:03 PM

a salt shaker?

kulrblind 03-31-2004 09:25 AM

I'lll step in and say teph, you're right... though, in her words it was "a tiny salt shaker" followed by Phoebe's "for tiny salt!".

your serve, teph!

teph 03-31-2004 10:55 AM

ahh yes :)

Other than the fact that it ripped, what was special about the tux that Jack wore to Monica's 30th birthday?

moonstrucksoul 03-31-2004 11:27 AM

it was an old velvet tuxedo that he was wearing the night they concieved Ross. lol

what was the real reason that jack and judy didn't like chandler for so long?

onetime2 03-31-2004 11:57 AM

Quote:

They thought he influenced Ross to do drugs?

moonstrucksoul 03-31-2004 12:18 PM

close enough, while in college, Ross told them that the reaon his room smelled like pot was because Chandler was smoking it.

your up, onetime2

onetime2 04-01-2004 05:38 AM

Who did Ross see that he took off his "Freeby List" of women he could sleep with without Rachel getting mad?

teph 04-01-2004 07:24 AM

Isabella Rossellini

Whose tux does Ross get for Monica and Chandler's wedding, and for what movie was it made?

moonstrucksoul 04-01-2004 10:13 AM

he thought it Val Kilmer' from Batman, but it was actually from "At First Sight"

what did Ross have to do, to get his apartment?

The air purifier?

sadistikdreams 04-01-2004 06:01 PM

What was the name of the person who made Phoebe's family's legendary cookie recipe?

Kadath 04-02-2004 04:20 AM

Nestle' Tollhouse. Accented in a French way.

When did Chandler and Joey "say goodbye" to their security deposit?

He, he, when they invented "Hammer Darts".

When Ross got hit in the face with a hockey puck, who was the emergency room nurse on the phone with while she makes them fill out forms?

kulrblind 04-02-2004 10:29 AM

Dora!

Man, I love that one.
"It says on the candy bar to call this number if I'm not completely satisfied. Well, I'm not completely satisfied."

Next question:

Where was the "most exciting place" that Rachel's ever had sex? (according to her)

04-02-2004 05:06 PM

A dentist's chair?

cherriesue 04-02-2004 07:54 PM

Where was the "most exciting place" that Rachel's ever had sex? (according to her)

the foot of the bed

Kadath 04-02-2004 08:10 PM

Yeah, she hadn't done Barry in the chair at that point.
"We have a winner!"

04-03-2004 01:14 PM

oh, oops- I knew it was something silly, but I couldn't think of it.

C'mon, cherrisue, yer up! Ask away....

cherriesue 04-03-2004 01:33 PM

what were the original numbers on the apartment doors (Monica & Rachels & Joey & Chandlers)?

teph 04-03-2004 09:50 PM

Good question. I watch about five episodes a day and can't remember both of them. Got an idea, but I'm not going to guess them quite yet.

onetime2 04-04-2004 06:33 AM

4 and 5?

cherriesue 04-04-2004 08:14 AM

onetime2 is the winner

teph 04-04-2004 09:25 PM

anyone feel free to chip in with another

kulrblind 04-06-2004 04:37 AM

ok, I'm game.

Coincidently, it's in the "glass of fat" episode.

After Joey stole the chair (and subsequently just the cushion) at Monica's place, and Chandler hid Joey's underwear, how did Joey retaliate?

All My Children? arg, I can't remember, isn't that a new episode from this season?

Kadath 04-06-2004 12:33 PM

But I did get the other question.

teph 04-06-2004 12:36 PM

OK then, first one of Kadath and :::OshnSoul::: to post a question goes next.

Kadath 04-06-2004 03:06 PM

Monica gets fired from a chef job for taking bribes. What was the bribe she took?

moonstrucksoul 04-06-2004 09:14 PM

steaks.

Kadath 04-07-2004 09:34 AM

True enough. I'd ask how many steaks, but that seems needlessly pedantic. Ask on!

moonstrucksoul 04-07-2004 09:53 AM
