-Oscars- Let's play "guess the winners"
Now I'm yet to even see half of the nominated films, directors, actors, etc. for this year's Academy Awards, but I just wanted to strike up some guesses to who *you guys* think will be winning.
So lets do this. I'll copy/paste the nominee list. Put an X next to what you think will win, and a * next to the things you havn't seen to let others know that while you might have a favorite, you are yet to be able to fully compare it to the rest of the year's nominees. I really think LOTR is going to do quite well.
As for the animated film, as much as I would love for a small film like Triplets of Belleville to win, Im pretty sure Finding Nemo is going to take it. |
Yeah I too feel a sweep coming. ;) This is the first time since I can remember that I've been excited for the awards. So much talent in all categories.

The New Zealander in me wants to see Keisha Castle-Hughes win best Actoress, but i really doubt that that would ever be possible.
All the media here think that she's a shoe-in, however. |

You know, I was gonna go through and do all this, but in doing so I realized I've only seen 2 Oscar nominated films this year - Return of the King and Finding Nemo. So, I wish for Return of the King to win everything it's nominated for and I could care less about everything else.

All I can say is, if ROTK loses best picture to lost in translation, its a crime against humanity. Lost in Translation almost put me to sleep, I really don't see why its getting all this popularity all of the sudden.

How many did you have to guess right? I only got 15/24. I never would have guessed a clean sweep by LOTR. Even if it did deserve it.
