Yeah, but how the hell do they market him? Will they let his band rejoin him, or will they insist that it's Bo and the Backups with a new band? He isn't going to do Top 40 pop songs, so what is his future?
|
Personally,
I just think Carrie has more talent, is more marketable, and has proven that all through the competition, whereas Bo's just getting started. However, I always lose, so Bo will probably win. |
I think what it comes down to ophelia, is that Bo puts on a better show than Carrie does. He's more lively and expressive, even while doing ballads. I've noticed that Carrie just isn't as fun to watch as Bo. He's just more charismatic.
I wouldn't worry though. I'm sure that no matter who wins, both of them will be able to make selling albums. |
For sure....
I mean, look at Ruben Studdard and Clay Aiken...Both put out albums, and even though it's Ruben who won, Clay's been doing very well for himself. |

I don't hear anyone talking about Bo's cocaine arrest anymore so I guess that's a non-issue. |
It's right up there with Scott's domestic assault and battery charges. It boils down to as long as they tell the producers, it doesn't matter.
|
Bo is a breath of fresh air, that's why he's doing so well. Long may he run! Carrie is too wooden. I really prefer Vonzel's soul stylings to Carrie.
I'm rooting for Bo, mostly because of his style of music, again it's about time and refreshing that we can get away from ballads/r&b, soul, hip hop -ish tune to something with more meat on it. and a Badlands tune to boot! All aboard! |
I want Bo to win, i like his style rather than hearing all the bubble gum pop tunes night in and night out. Vonzel was going home, that was a guarantee..almost 3 yrs in a row with potential r&b candidate to take it all...Fox thinks not!
|
Bo's da man. Comfortable on stage, looks like he actually enjoys being there and wants to be there, just doin' his thang. Most of the others look like they're trying too hard, trying to perform. Bo just performs. The great, edgy voice doesn't hurt either. Go Bo. He gets my vote.
|
Bo is a true performer. Carrie is a child. She can sing, but she sounds like a million other female country artists. When Bo sings, it's reminiscent of singers of the hippy era, but he sounds different than anyone currently. To watch him sing live and in person would be a treat. Whereas watching Carrie would be like watching karaoke at local bar. And if she sings "Man, I feel like a woman" one more time, I'm gonna fucking scream!
|
I don't know, I kind of want it to be Carrie. Bo comes across as kind of average, but Carrie has some serious potential.
|
Carrie won!
I'm happy for them. Bo's performances tonight were wonderful, but Carrie is definitely the more marketable one. I still wish Bo won. He's adorable and way more mature. Ah well. I really enjoyed this show... now to wait for the thirtieth! Canadian Idol! |
Damn it!! I wanted Bo to win!
|
Damn! Glad I watched Lost. I would've been pissed.

Holy shit! |
personaly...its funny to watch the beginning of American Idol and may be a bit at the end to hear the really talented people... but other than that its repetetive and a bore..the only good part about it is that Amerian television is actually showing music again instead of just reality shows.
|
I never really watched it before this year, and I think Bo was clearly more talented. A USA Today poll had him getting 62% of the vote. I guess the people who read USA Today don't vote for American Idol. What a shame.
|
I wanted to stay out of here until the finale.
I really wanted Bo to win. He just owned the stage in every performance I managed to see. His choice of songs were so...eclectic. Vehicle...the Gavin Degraw song, which I thought he did a very nice job on. I usually avoid watching this show, but Bo caught my attention. I can't imagine that this is the end for him. |
It made me very happy to know that I wasn't crazy for wanting Carrie to win....For once,
I agree with America! |
bo is better. he can sing...even without music. carrie always messes up at the beginning of her songs. bice and dice always.
|
I had it so I would win $70 if Carrie won but I get scared and lowered my potential winnings to $10. Stupid fear instincts....
|
I really loved the show hehehehe the two geeky guys they brought to the finale only to tell the larger of the two that the empty seat next to him was for David Hasselhof...I about fell off the bed laughing. And that girl with the national anthem? classic
I really wanted Bo to win, but I didnt, I've said all along that he would be better off in 2nd place so that he can do what he wants and not be tied to AI the way the winner will. Clay has furthered himself MUCH more as runner up than Rueben has. I got teary eyes watching Carrie try to sing after they announced her as the winner...shes like "you expect me to be able to sing NOW?" I truly think they each deserved to win, but I can tell you this....it will be Bo I'll be willing to spend money on, not Carrie |
Just for fun, here's a compilation of quotes from all of those who thought Carrie might win all along:

exactly. it all comes down to marketablility... Bo rocked. Carrie rocked on her heels, bouncing trying to keep the temp... I'm sorry, but she just didn't have the stage presence that Bo has. And Lynyrd Skynyrd too! wow. And was that George benson that I saw?? i wasn't sure, but it sounded like him (i was flipping back and forth between Lost and AI) |
Yes it was George
and I have to say Bo's performance with LS was totally awesome and impressive |

Even if he doesn't make a CD, Bo wil just go back to doing what he does best, rockin it out on stage.
I still think he wanted to lose because carrie was in it honestly. As Bo said the one night to the possibility of getting kicked off: "what happens happens, I only did this on a dare with my mom" (paraphrased b/c I'm too lazy to look it up) |

So wait, Carrie Underwood won?
*hasn't watched American Idol a day in his life* |
I still think the best performance of that evening was vonsell with billy preston, she seemed right at home on the piano. Still sends shivers down my spine when I listen to the song...
I'll definitely spend my money on bo if anyone. On the first episode, when he sang "Drift Away", I knew it was gonna be a good season. Not sure if I can ever watch another season of AI just because he was so awesome and I don't think anyone in future seasons will be able to compare to him. |
^ It's true
