Re-appearing person in the Today Show crowd. - Tilted Forum Project Discussion Community

I don't know if this has been discussed or not, but has anyone noticed a re-appearing person/people in the crowd outside the NBC Today Show?

Usually around 7:30 when they come back from the Local News, the Camera man will pan the crowd that is out side the Studio. I have seen two guys in the crowd almost 90% of the time.

One is a skinny black guy with Sunglasses. He always puts his index finger up as if he was signing he is Number one.

Now this second guy I have not seen for two to three months. He is a white guy with really white hair. Almost looks like Albert Einstein. With the White Hair and white mustache. When he was there he usually give a Thumbs Up sign.

Has anyone else noticed these people?
What's the story behind them?

not sure, but I saw when some girl was paid by a radio station to flash the camera as they did the pan across the crowd. Katie Curic thought it was disturbing

She looked unsettled and unprepared for it

pretty much anything is possible, he could just be a guy with too much time on his hands and he gets his jollies from trying to appear on TV as much ass possible

I've noticed the einstein guy before. My dad swears they interviewed him once outside.

It's probably on their way to work so they stop by for a wave...

or... they don't have jobs and this is how they get their jollies.

The "Einstein" guy is there everyday, and yes they do know him and have interviewed him several times. For the life of me, I can't remember his name right now. I think it's Jose...maybe? I'm almost positive it's a Hispanic name. Damn, it's hell gettin' old. I'm sure it'll come to me later.

I'm glad I'm not just seeing things.

Well I see the black guy almost every day. He was standing next to some Bikini clad girls this morning. I'm not sure why there were bikini clad girls in the middle of winter in New York.

I'm usually finish getting ready to go to work at 7:30 and it's like a ritual now to see if I see the black guy or Manuel (thanks to Jeff for the picture).

Anyone know the other guy?

I've never noticed the Einstein guy but I see the skinny black guy every time. When they come back from breaks sometimes and scan the crowd, Katie or Matt sometimes mention his name. I can't remember it for the life of me! Starts with an L I think? I have never seen him interviewed but would love to.
