FIREFLY the Series - DVD Worth getting?
 

I never watched this, and it was cancelled quickly, but it has gotten great reviews. I'm a buffy fan (great pains to admit that) and Whedon created it so I was thinking of picking it up.

Has anyone seen it? Would you reccomend it?

I would recommend it. If you like Whedon's style then you'll probably enjoy Firefly. imo it was canceled way to quickly and should have been given more of a chance. I hear they may be making a Firefly movie but im not sure how/when it wil be released.

I thought Firefly was very enjoyable, and intend to pick up the dvd myself. IMDB has Whedon listed for "Firefly (2004)" so I'd assume that's the movie.

i watched most of them.. then when it was cancelled, i erased what i had left over.. i did the same for John Doe and a few other mid season cancellations.

it was an okay series a couple good episodes

I enjoyed but just when I got interested they pulled it. How much is the DVD going for? I would probably buy simply to get the continuity I missed between episodes.

I think the DVD would be a lot better than the show. FOX showed them out of order, and it screwed up the sequence. Other than that, it was a pretty good show.

The collection also has never aired shows. My friend bought it and I can't wait to see the other episodes.

Huh might be worth getting just for the non aired episodes.

It is really good. There is still the movie planned. (Joss had too much on his plate I think with Buffy and Angel when he was making Firefly)

That was the biggest problem with the series... made it hard for casual viewers to get into it...it was very good, though.

Great show! I was so pissed when it got canceled, but I can understand why. It was not your typical sci-fi story. You really had to watch a few episodes to get into it. The DVD has three un-aired episodes.

my friend was the accountant for the show... she didn't like it, but then again she wasn't a buffy fan either...

Seriously, fear the power of the number crunchers! They are the real power of the "industry!"

Just watched the first of the three un-aired episodes (called Trash). It was just as great as all the others. I'm so pissed that they canceled this show.
