Blake Mycoskie, a former contestant on CBS' The Amazing Race 2, and cable industry vet, Larry Namer, the founder of Movietime (the precursor to E! Networks), are joining forces to launch Reality Central, a new cable network devoted to reality programming 24/7.


Ready for re-runs featuring Survivor's naked guy, Richard "the snake" Hatch? Or profiles on the likes of has-been reality stars such as Millionaire bride Darva Conger or Temptation Island's disgraced Ytossie and Taheed. How about a special on Big Brother's knife-wielding bartender Justin Sebik?

Obviously, millions of fans a week enjoy reality TV, but do you think 24 hours straight is too much?

You know, I thought they were doing good about starting some of these speciality channels (Food channel, TechTV, Cartoon Network, and the up-in-coming Anime Network) but I think Reality TV is taking to WAY to far, but it would be great if they took all of the reality TV shows off the regular networks and put them on this channel, then I would ever have to see them again.

I know it's en vogue now to bash reality TV, but I like it. I'll watch that channel if it comes my way.

I guess the only feature which would intrigue me, is finding out what happened to these people after their reality shows went off the air. That could be interesting.

IMHO I don't think that there's enough material nor material to repackage (i.e. reuse over and over again) with the reality shows. They'd have to get real creative really quick. Not to mention does the reality shows include say Blind Date, While You Where Out, Trading Spaces, Operation?

we heard about the incident, but not of the follow through.
