Mailes Davis is my personal favorite jazz musician of all time. I have a great soundtrack album called Ascenseur por l'echafaud.

What I'm wondering is if anyone has seen the movie. I'd love to find a copy. Maybe eBay...

and it DOES seem to have been released on VHS bt not DVD.

english title is Elevator To The Gallows. they MUST release a DVD version if there is a miles davis soundtrack.
