They're now intent on turning a character with a deep background, selfish/selfless motivation, and a kickass costume into....Halle Berry in a crappy holloween outfit. I hate hollywood. Also I thought Catwoman was white......not that it matters I guess, I'd just rather not have the frickin' bitch-queen playing her.

This is awful. Halle Berry once again breaks the boundries for hot women everywhere. She's a terrible actress. Hot. But a terrible actress. She should not have been the first black woman to win best actress. It should've been a long time ago, and for a better actress. And I love seeing her in a catsuit and all, but there has to be better choices than Halle Berry. Michelle Pfeiffer is still hot, drag her ass out of retirement, stuff it in a catsuit, and I'll see it twice.

Why why why do these stupid Hollywood types think they need to change things in comics (or books) that have worked FINE for the last 50 years or so?

Please note that the only this horrible movie has in common with Catwoman is the name. It bears absolutely NO resemblance to the comic character.

Hence it is not worth a damn thing.

Though both played Catwoman neither was the "Selina Kyle/Catwoman" that Michelle Pfeifer plays in Batman Returns. It was the same gimmick but different person.

They need to called the character Selena Kyle,
make her a villainess/heroine (thief/vigilante)
And get someone who can play her with more action and edge.
Halle Berry is not action & edge, she's cheesecake.

If you were going to use anyone from Xmen,
you would have been better off with Famke.
At least SHE has had experience playing an active athletic villainess.

I agree with the fact that there is no way in hell Halle Berry should be playing this part. I'm not sure that Famke Jannsen has the right look down. She's hot and all, but its a different kind of hot from Selina Kyle. I vote for Eliza Dushku.

Ashley Judd was originally signed the play the part, then she left and Halle Berry took it... Even though Ashley Judd may not be the best, she could do a hell of a lot better than Halle Berry.

Berry is hot, yes, but she is stll vastly over-rated. It's a shame that she gets to be Catwoman, but it's worse to let Hollywood destroy the look and appearance of Catwoman's costume. The next Spiderman movie better have Toby McGwire (I think that's his name) in a hole-covered Power Ranger suit from Goodwill, or else I'm gonna declare comic bias.

Well, with the way that costume looks, I say fuck the name, fuck the plot, just get Jenna stuffed in a leather g-string with a cat mask and make it a hard core porno. At least it would be worth seeing that way. Well, at least it isn't as bad as freakin "Neo" as Hellblazer. Who ever casted and wrote that fucking thing needs to have there balls shot off.

I'm gonna bump this thread back to the top since the movie is now really, really close to release. I think the opinion that this movie is gonna be a knuckle-draggingly stupid and mentally challenging affair has been run into the ground, but I gotta say this: every role that I've ever seen Halle Berry in has been 2 things - 1) hot. She's fucking hot. No getting around it. 2) Every movie she's in has a line that makes me cringe and grind my teeth at. It holds true for just about every movie she's been in. Swordfish - "I'm not here to suck your dick, Stan." WHY? That's fucking terrible! X-Men - "You know what happens to a toad that gets struck by lightning? The same thing that happens to everything else." FUCK. Tomorrow Never Dies - "Yo mama!" Christ. That's great. Catwoman - "Meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
