Which reality tv shows do you watch?
 

Ok confession time ;) which reality shows do you like to watch on TV?
I must admit i watch a few and enjoy them. At the moment i am hooked with The Amazing Race, which i am not sure where it is at in America (don't ruin it for me). I also watch The Mole which is an Australian show, but i imagine theres the American or other equilivant. Tempatation Island started up last week and is on again tonight but i didn't really get hooked on it yet, although i'll probably start watching it :roll:

I'm not embarassed. I watched the first season of American Idol. I started watching it to laugh at the horrible singers in the first few episodes... I stayed for the hotties. Then I watched to the end for Nikki McKibbon. Got a bit of a crush on her. I never got into the second season, though.

Right now I'm really into Paradise Hotel. I just can't pull myself away from it. I just need to know what kind of cruel twist they're going to throw at those poor stressed out guests next. Also, once again, there are some gorgeous girls on that show.

I'm really only a "one reality show at a time" kind of guy. Most of them just don't interest me. My best friend, however loves them, so if I'm at his place, watching TV before we hit the bars, I just sorta start getting into them once in a while.

Any of the stupid dating shows, just to see how bad they get toward each other. I Watch American Chopper, just to hear big Paul, Monster Garage? do those count? I really don't watch too much TV, but the later 2 I watch all the time.

Survivor. It's the only reality show I find worth watching because the challenges are very well crafted and fun to watch, and because there is more going on than just catfights and people hooking up.

can some people explain some of the more ridiculous ones. We (australia) only seem to get the more "sane" reality shows from the states. When you say American Chopper and monster garage, i get a little curious to what thye're about....

My wife has me hooked into Big Brother 4...

If Queer Eye counts, that would be the only one I watch. My wife likes Bachelor/Bachelorette.

Survivor's my biggest reality weakness...

though, because this is an open and honest community, I will admit, with some shame, that I just finished watching the season finale of Cupid - and I watched almost every episode.

American Chopper --- The show takes place at a custom motorcycle building garage as they try to build motorcycles for shows or other events. For example, they made a helicopter themed motorcycle for a custom motorcyle show. They made a fire engine themed motorcycle for the firemen that lost buddies in the World Trade Center. The garage is family owned and they constantly fight about all aspects of the motorcycle and how much time it will take to build it, that's the reality show part.

Monster Garage -- Custom motorcycle bulider Jesse James has to take ordinary vehicles and transform them into other things and still maintain the look of the original. He gets designers and experts to design the vehicle and then gets a build team made up of car customizers, welders, custom motorcycle buliders, etc to build the vehicle in 5 days. For example, they transformed a NASCAR racing car into a street sweeper, a school bus became pontoon party boat, limosine that could also fight fires, etc. The arguements between the team members is the reality show part.

i´ve enjoyed Big Brother (the Aussie version), the Bachelor 3 (US version), Survivor (the US versions), the block, Australian Idol, the Amazing Race... bleh... the list goes on...

i don´t know why, but this stuff is just sooo silly, that it hooks me in.

The only TV I watch Is Queer Eye so that's my only show that also happens to be a reality show.

If Most Extreme Elimination Challenge counts, then I watch reality TV. My gf like Trading Spaces, and I used to watch Junkyard Wars and the other mechanic shows, but I drifted away from them. Is anyone watching "The Joe Schmo Show"? I didn't think so...

I love the dating shows [Blind date, Shipmates, etc.] because there is nothing better than a date gone bad!
And even though it is a non-reality show, Joe Schmo is AWESOME!

Oh, and I still watch Real World for some reason [saturday afternoon marathons and catch up, usually...]

Evey now and again I've watched some of Big Brother with my wife. I've probably seen 6 or 8 episodes.
I really like the first Big Brother in the US, but haven't really been interested in any other reality shows.

i watched For love or money....but i love watching Big Brother and sometimes Survivor...but now that im in college i hardly have time to watch

I watch fear factor every monday. something about the show does it for me.

Survivor all the way. Everything else is a cheap rip off.

I appreciate Jeff Probst too, as he is the master at fucking with starved parnoid contestants.

Joe Schmo is THE best "reality" show ever. Haha, i cant believe that guy is dumb enough to be fooled the whole time...

Monster Garage, Monster House, American Chopper (even though those don't really fit the general mold of reality TV)

Used to watch Real World and Road Rules, but then they started changing it to fit the new way of reality TV where people get voted off, etc.

I've seen Joe Schmo, not one that I go out of my way to watch, but I'll leave it on if nothing else is on.

I'm not sure he is fooled. I honestly think he is in on it as well, and the other cast members don't know that. I'll admit, I'm having fun watching Joe Schmo. Even if it's not done perfectly, I really love the premise of a "fake reality" show. :D

I got into one of the Survivor seasons - season two I think. Aside from that, I don't think I've watched more than a few minutes of the other ones.

They need to make one like BATTLE ROYALE or SERIES 7 where they get a bunch of fuckhead losers (like they do now) and put them on an island or deserted city and equip them with guns and explosives, the winner is the one who isn't dead by the end of the season.

Battle Royale would be bloody fantastic.

Joe schmoe is actually pretty funny, I think its 3 shows in one, a reality show, a spoof of reality shows, and an improv excercise. I say give it a chance, the "host" is hilarious

seriously reality shows are crap. most tv is crap except sportscenter and scrubs.

The only "reality" show I watch is the anti-reality show in a sense, that's right, Joe Schmo!

JOE SCHMOE ROCKS! The only other reality shows I'll watch however are Blind Date (only when the date is teribly bad or steamy) and Paradise Hotel (only when I accidentally catch it and the women are looking particularly good. Besides Joe Schmoe, all reality shows are good for is a little PG-13 T&A. And, frankly, the internet has SO much more fulfillment in that arena :rolleyes: Joe Schmoe is hilarious though. :)

Survivor is ok but thats about it. Unless you include Blind Date as a reality tv show.

i dont want any on a regular basis...but i watch survior, realworld, and a couple of others if im channel surfing

I've watched "American Idol" (if that is a reality tv show), "Survivor", and "Real World". But they all suck, so I don't watch them if I can help it... my cable subscription doesn't include them, so it's not hard. :)

I like the survivor series purely for the guessing and to see how the participants react.

I love the Amazing Race...it's my favorite reality show.

I watch some of the bachelor/love or money type shows if I don't have anything better..don't really care for them but they draw me in and don't release their claws.

I really liked the Mole and Mole 2 and hope they do another one.

Temptation Island I prefer watching the UK or Aussie versions as the shows are unedited and frankly more interesting than the US version.

And of course.... The Joe Schmo Show! Excellent TV.

So I've taken up watching Average Joe. They brought in 15(?) dorky, average guys to compete for this hot ass girl and she had just assumed she was going to be choosing between attractive guys. Anyway, now she's gotten to know these guys and has cut them down to six. So I'm thinking next week they're going to bring in a group of attractive guys to see if she makes the "right" decision. Did anyone else get that idea? That is of course if anyone else is watching.

I watch almost every single one...except American Idol.
I have to draw the line somewhere.

Out of all of them, I enjoy Amazing Race the most.
The Mole is a close second, followed by Big Brother.

I admit it. We watch both the Joe's, and my wife watches Survivor and the Batchelor.

The European women and nerds both crack me up. If they could combine them into one show, somehow....

If you count American Choppers, Monster Garage, Monster House, then that's what I watch. I don't consider them to be reality, the last two are more game-show like than anything else.

I'll admit that I stop and watch Real World occasionally.

Surviving Nugent was great, two hours is as much reality as I can take.

Most Reality TV is just demeaning to our civilization. Also, a good half of it seems to be the same show with some different spin. I got into Survivor 2. While at times it may seem cruel, it really is a challenge for an individual, and it takes alot of character and strength to brave through. But The Bachelor? We take a guy and make him date a bunch of women and he gets to choose which one is the hottest. Makes me want to eat my eyes

Ah ha! I was right. Of course it was painfully obvious. I think the old guys are screwed.
