What movie have you watched the most?

What DVD or tape or theater show have you watched the most? It might not be your favorite, you may not have seen it in years, but you've seen it more than any other film?

For me it's either The Big Lebowski or The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Mr. Spacemonkey 09-14-2003 08:19 AM

That's easy for me, it's Fight Club.

brandon11983 09-14-2003 08:42 AM

Airplane! I could watch that movie a billion times and still crack up at it.

SiN 09-14-2003 08:44 AM

prooly Breakfast Club. :)

Xiangsu 09-14-2003 09:14 AM

I would probably have to go with Back To the Future. Maybe Fight Club or The Shawshank Redemption. I haven't really been keeping track.

Gortexfogg 09-14-2003 09:20 AM

Most likely the original Star Wars trilogy. It gets better with repeated viewings.

BigGov 09-14-2003 09:46 AM

South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut

Eiresol 09-14-2003 09:49 AM

Hackers possibly or maybe Major League 2 or the first Mighty Ducks.
I've watched Friday a lot too.

Kaos 09-14-2003 09:58 AM

Star Wars, Empire Strikes Back, and Spaceballs :D

Either Highlander or Monty Python's Life of Brian.

Marrek 09-14-2003 11:16 AM

Either A Clockwork Orange or Requiem for a Dream.

Snoogans 09-14-2003 12:23 PM

I've seen Fight Club over 50 times, and it's still awesome.

djtestudo 09-14-2003 02:31 PM

sapiens 09-14-2003 04:47 PM

I've probably seen The Big Sleep and Groundhog Day 30+ times.

SabrinaFair 09-14-2003 05:40 PM

Fried Green Tomatoes.
I've been watching that film several times a year since I was 12.

rock_bottom 09-14-2003 07:50 PM

Probably <i>The Godfather</i> (I can't believe no one's said this one yet). I watched it about ten times on VHS when I was in high school... and since then I've just happened to see it a lot, usually because I'm with friends and one of them wants to see it. As long as it's been a few months since the last time, I'm always up for seeing it again.

Hrothgar 09-14-2003 08:06 PM

A Christmas Story

Godfather 1 & 2

Goodfellas

Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory

Scarface

The Three Amigos

crfpilot 09-14-2003 09:27 PM

mystmarimatt 09-14-2003 11:06 PM

Hook. i know, it's a love it or hate it movie. and i've always been in love with the concept of peter pan. i've seen it probably over 200 times, and can quote almost anything from it on cue. my vhs is just about dead, too. i need to find the dvd of it.

I love Dogma, but I watch the other four more often.

RelaX 09-15-2003 12:59 PM

Another die-hard Fight Club fan here... I cannot get enough of that movie... I often watch short pieces too, like when Tyler is talking about us "working jobs we hate so we can buy shit we don't NEED". I love that part.

The only thing I've watched more isn't a movie, but an episode of DBZ. The one were Gohan goes SSJ2, that still gets the hairs on my neck standing up.

djflish 09-15-2003 01:01 PM

gotta be Transformers: The Movie

I do that kind of stuff too. I think my favorite scene to watch again and again is the Raymond K. Hessel scene. Damn, that scene is just beautiful. :)

nostalgic1 09-15-2003 02:09 PM

fight club.. donnie darko.. and igby goes down...

probably my three favorite movies of all time right there...

harhar 09-15-2003 04:26 PM

hansthemolemann 09-15-2003 10:25 PM

XenuHubbard 09-16-2003 06:50 AM

The Big Lebowski
Fight Club
Pelle Svanslos i Amerikatt. (Swedish cartoon film. Was in Finland for three months as a kid, that was the only tape we had. Don't understand Finnish. Even if i did, I wouldn't understand Finnish television...)

bobw 09-16-2003 06:55 AM

close call between Holy Grail and Strange Brew .....

anleja 09-16-2003 02:48 PM

Raising Arizona
Pulp Fiction
Groundhog Day

I'd rather not think about how many times I've seen these.

thencrow 09-16-2003 10:05 PM

Star Wars, Empire Strikes back and Return of the Jedi. I watched them so much I wore out my tapes and had to buy new ones. I cant wait till they come out on DVD, I do hope they come out with two different versions though. The special edition CGI ruins the movies some times.

sakvee 09-16-2003 10:28 PM

Fight Club, Fear and Loathing and Natural Born Killers would be my most watched movies ever.

I'd say Natural Born Killers would just be in the lead.

GakFace 09-17-2003 02:19 AM

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

"I mean Come'on.... How do you expect to beat me?"

(Besides. Its not like you couldn't have guessed that by my name ;))

God of Thunder 09-17-2003 04:18 AM

I remember when HBO first came out and they only had about 10 movies and one of them was "Grease". We must have watched that one at least 200 times.

I also have seen The Blues Brothers and Animal House more times than I can remember.

BubblegumTeflon 09-17-2003 08:02 AM

Matrix I've seen a lot. But when I was little I watched a Laserdisc of SideKicks continuously for 3 days. I don't know why but after that I was quoting the movie. Thank god I don't remember it now.

Midlandmadman 09-17-2003 08:42 AM

Apollo 13 or Aliens If i see these while flipping channels I have to watch the rest. and sadly Forrest Gump too.

"What movie have you watched the most?"

http://tfproject.org/tfp/showthread....tiple+repeated

yournamehere 09-18-2003 07:39 AM

<i>Wizard of Oz</i> - I've watched it at least once a year since I was a little kid. No other movie even comes close - <i>Saving private Ryan</i> probably comes in second, but only at about 10 viewings.

smeesh 09-18-2003 09:06 AM

Easy one too.. Fight Club

My roommate and I watched it every single week the first 2 quarters of my Freshman year. People came to know us as the "Fight Club" room in my dorm.

~smeesh

JusticeForPhat 09-19-2003 07:28 PM

Shawshank Redemption - everytime it's on tv
Star Wars duh
Indiana Jones - Raiders of the lost arc, and last Crusade the most.
Lord of the rings - FOTR. TTT doesnt have as good replay value, although it was better the first few times I watched it :)
Tremors - seen it WAY to many times... and the sequels...

Cant think of anything else that comes close to these. I know i've seen each over 100 times. I've had them in my dvd/vcr on loop play for weeks at a time so every time I sit down It's on...

Shyla Loral 09-22-2003 03:24 PM

Either airplane or the princess bride;I love both of those and they make me laugh a lot.:D

TheClarkster 09-22-2003 06:53 PM

Bill O'Rights 09-23-2003 11:42 AM

The Little Mermaid...about 500,000,000 times.

When my 16 year old daughter was little, this was her favorite movie.

I still have the entire script and soundtrack commited to memory.

*Edit* I had to confiscate her Peter Pan tape when I walked by her room and caught her jumping off of her dresser onto her bed. When I asked what she thought she was doing, she replied "I'm being Peter Pan, Daddy." (she was almost 4, at the time) I took the tape from her at that moment, and for the life of me, I still, to this day, don't remember what I ever did with it. And yes, every once in a while she still asks me about it, and I tell her "No, you still can't have your Peter Pan tape back yet."

djflish 09-23-2003 02:32 PM

Coppertop 01-18-2005 01:14 PM

The Empire Strikes Back. I have seen it more times than you. Seriously.

foosball 01-18-2005 01:36 PM

Boondock Saints, not because it's my favorite movie, although it is in my top 10, but because so many people I know hadn't seen it.

Temporary_User 01-18-2005 01:42 PM

Has to be Old School followed by Braveheart.
Of course A Christmas Story is on every year and repeats itself 100x over. Although for some odd reason I didnt seem to see it on any station this year.

Charlatan 01-18-2005 01:49 PM

I would be toss up between the following:
Casablanca
It's a Wonderful Life
Raiders of the Lost Ark

...and much like Bill O'Right and much to my chagrin I have sat through a number of kids films like: Babe, Peter Pan, Beauty and the Beast, etc.

I really don't like musicals or Disney all that much... Babe is a treat though.

hambone 01-18-2005 02:12 PM

One summer when I was in elementary school, my brother and I watched Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II every single day for an entire summer. So by the numbers accumulated in that summer alone, I'll have to say TMNT2. After that, I'd probably say Empire Records.

Eight 01-20-2005 03:28 AM

We were Soldiers
Black Hawk Down
Platoon
Full Metal jacket (can you spot the theme here? :) )
