What movie have you watched the most?
What DVD or tape or theater show have you watched the most? It might not be your favorite, you may not have seen it in years, but you've seen it more than any other film?
For me it's either The Big Lebowski or The Rocky Horror Picture Show. |
That's easy for me, it's Fight Club.
|
Airplane! I could watch that movie a billion times and still crack up at it.
|
prooly Breakfast Club. :)
|
I would probably have to go with Back To the Future. Maybe Fight Club or The Shawshank Redemption. I haven't really been keeping track.
|
Most likely the original Star Wars trilogy. It gets better with repeated viewings.
|
South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut
|
Hackers possibly or maybe Major League 2 or the first Mighty Ducks.
I've watched Friday a lot too. |
Star Wars, Empire Strikes Back, and Spaceballs :D
|
LoTR:FoTR
|
self, likely Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. or Princess Bride.
|
for a long while, i was watching swingers oin a daily basis. great show, so many quotable lines...
|
Either Highlander or Monty Python's Life of Brian.
|
Either A Clockwork Orange or Requiem for a Dream.
|
I've seen Fight Club over 50 times, and it's still awesome.
|
Jurassic Park.
|
Highlander, sadly and pathetically over 200 times....Nothing better than Christopher Lambert in a kilt
|
Casino
Swingers Mission Impossible |
I've probably seen The Big Sleep and Groundhog Day 30+ times.
|
Fried Green Tomatoes.
I've been watching that film several times a year since I was 12. |
Buckaroo Banzai
The Last Starfighter The Wizard of Oz Willy Wonka The Sound of Music Shane The Seven Samurai The Magnificent Seven Silverado Star Wars trilogy Aliens Groundhog Day Stripes Ghostbusters Die Hard trilogy Superman & Superman II Evolution A whole lot more. I find a movie I like and kinda wear it out. Ya know? Edit: I forgot to add Clue. That movie just cracks me up. |
Airplane ... I can't not watch it if it's on TV
|
The Little Mermaid over 450 times...
An American Tail over 450 times... Land Before Time over 300 times... no I have no kids, I just enjoyed them a lot...wore out several VHS tapes |
American Psycho (seriously, hundreds of times... i know every line)
and... Bring it on (donīt laugh!) Zoolander Gladiator Mulholland Drive (just to understand it!!) |
Probably <i>The Godfather</i> (I can't believe no one's said this one yet). I watched it about ten times on VHS when I was in high school... and since then I've just happened to see it a lot, usually because I'm with friends and one of them wants to see it. As long as it's been a few months since the last time, I'm always up for seeing it again.
|
A Christmas Story
Godfather 1 & 2 Goodfellas Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory Scarface The Three Amigos |
I'd have to say probably Office Space, or maybe Happy Gilmore. Oh, and don't worry Cynthetiq I'm right there with you, Land Before Time is my all time favorite animated movie.
|
Hook. i know, it's a love it or hate it movie. and i've always been in love with the concept of peter pan. i've seen it probably over 200 times, and can quote almost anything from it on cue. my vhs is just about dead, too. i need to find the dvd of it.

Another die-hard Fight Club fan here... I cannot get enough of that movie... I often watch short pieces too, like when Tyler is talking about us "working jobs we hate so we can buy shit we don't NEED". I love that part.
The only thing I've watched more isn't a movie, but an episode of DBZ. The one were Gohan goes SSJ2, that still gets the hairs on my neck standing up. |
gotta be Transformers: The Movie

probably my three favorite movies of all time right there... |
clockwork orange and scarface. watched too many times to count
|
saving private ryan, but I've watched my band of brothers DVD's more, I guess the could count as a 10 hour movie...
|
The Big Lebowski
Fight Club Pelle Svanslos i Amerikatt. (Swedish cartoon film. Was in Finland for three months as a kid, that was the only tape we had. Don't understand Finnish. Even if i did, I wouldn't understand Finnish television...) |
close call between Holy Grail and Strange Brew .....
|
Raising Arizona
Pulp Fiction Groundhog Day I'd rather not think about how many times I've seen these. |
Star Wars, Empire Strikes back and Return of the Jedi. I watched them so much I wore out my tapes and had to buy new ones. I cant wait till they come out on DVD, I do hope they come out with two different versions though. The special edition CGI ruins the movies some times.
|
Fight Club, Fear and Loathing and Natural Born Killers would be my most watched movies ever.
I'd say Natural Born Killers would just be in the lead. |
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
"I mean Come'on.... How do you expect to beat me?" (Besides. Its not like you couldn't have guessed that by my name ;)) |
I remember when HBO first came out and they only had about 10 movies and one of them was "Grease". We must have watched that one at least 200 times.
I also have seen The Blues Brothers and Animal House more times than I can remember. |
Matrix I've seen a lot. But when I was little I watched a Laserdisc of SideKicks continuously for 3 days. I don't know why but after that I was quoting the movie. Thank god I don't remember it now.
|
Apollo 13 or Aliens If i see these while flipping channels I have to watch the rest. and sadly Forrest Gump too.
|
Office Space
Boondock Saints Donnie Darko |
Star Wars (50+ times)
The Godfather LOTR - Fellowship of the Ring Animal House THX1138 Dune (the old David Lynch version) |
|
<i>Wizard of Oz</i> - I've watched it at least once a year since I was a little kid. No other movie even comes close - <i>Saving private Ryan</i> probably comes in second, but only at about 10 viewings.
|
Easy one too.. Fight Club
My roommate and I watched it every single week the first 2 quarters of my Freshman year. People came to know us as the "Fight Club" room in my dorm. ~smeesh |

Star Wars duh Indiana Jones - Raiders of the lost arc, and last Crusade the most. Lord of the rings - FOTR. TTT doesnt have as good replay value, although it was better the first few times I watched it :) Tremors - seen it WAY to many times... and the sequels... Cant think of anything else that comes close to these. I know i've seen each over 100 times. I've had them in my dvd/vcr on loop play for weeks at a time so every time I sit down It's on... |
AoD, Basketball and Princess Bride
|
Star Wars
Fight Club LOTR: TT ;) Event Horizon (guilty pleasure) Jay and Silent Bob (it's the missus' favorite) I'm detecting a theme.... |
Forrest Gump
Bring it On (we should watch together bundy!) The Princess Bride The Searchers (I've probably watched this the most out of all of these) Yeah, and most Disney movies 20+ times. And I've seen Ice Age a crap load of times. My niece watches it nearly every day.... |

|
The Little Mermaid...about 500,000,000 times.
When my 16 year old daughter was little, this was her favorite movie. I still have the entire script and soundtrack commited to memory. *Edit* I had to confiscate her Peter Pan tape when I walked by her room and caught her jumping off of her dresser onto her bed. When I asked what she thought she was doing, she replied "I'm being Peter Pan, Daddy." (she was almost 4, at the time) I took the tape from her at that moment, and for the life of me, I still, to this day, don't remember what I ever did with it. And yes, every once in a while she still asks me about it, and I tell her "No, you still can't have your Peter Pan tape back yet." |
its a toss up between transformers:the movie and toy story
|
Fight Club
Office Space Star Wars The Godfather I & II |
The Wall
|
Matrix 1
Back to the Future 1 and 2 Groundhog Day Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone Bring it on(sadly) I loved Seven, Tombstone, and 13 monkeys, but I cannot watch them more than once every few months. I've also never seen Fight Club. Ressurrect this thread so I can pick up some movies with good replay value! |
License to Drive
Young Guns Glory Saving Private Ryan Batman |
Black Hawk Down, Return of the King, Braveheart, and Gladiator
|
Wayne's World about 30 times
Back to the Future: At least once a month for many years. Princess Bride/ Monty Python and the Holy Grail: 15-20 each |
Animal House, Ghostbusters, Caddeyshack, and Porky's. No need to bother with nubers, I'm sure the number of times I've watched these movies since shildhood cannot be quantified.
|
Emperor's new groove
Moulin Rouge Ever After Super Troopers Fight Club |
Ghostbusters!
|
Dead Trilogy/almost any zombie movie
Escape from Alcatraz Escape from LA/NW T2 Breakdown The Burbs Shawshank Anytime any of these are on TV, I end up watching them over and over again.....there are countless others I just can't think of at the moment. |
The Empire Strikes Back. I have seen it more times than you. Seriously.
|
Boondock Saints, not because it's my favorite movie, although it is in my top 10, but because so many people I know hadn't seen it.
|
Has to be Old School followed by Braveheart.
Of course A Christmas Story is on every year and repeats itself 100x over. Although for some odd reason I didnt seem to see it on any station this year. |
I would be toss up between the following:
Casablanca It's a Wonderful Life Raiders of the Lost Ark ...and much like Bill O'Right and much to my chagrin I have sat through a number of kids films like: Babe, Peter Pan, Beauty and the Beast, etc. I really don't like musicals or Disney all that much... Babe is a treat though. |
sadly, this would have to be Gone in 60 Seconds for me...
|
Star Wars first of course but then American Pie, I can almost recite the lines.
|
patriot games
|
the matrix
shawshank redemption saving private ryan |
sfsdfffffffffffffffffsssssssssssddddddd
|
One summer when I was in elementary school, my brother and I watched Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II every single day for an entire summer. So by the numbers accumulated in that summer alone, I'll have to say TMNT2. After that, I'd probably say Empire Records.
|
We were Soldiers
Black Hawk Down Platoon Full Metal jacket (can you spot the theme here? :) ) The Mummy+Returns |
