american splendor?
anybody seen it? I haven't, nor have I read the comic. But I remember Harvey Pekar doing one-armed push-ups on Letterman.

apparently I must wait 'til Sept. 12 and drive 150 miles to see it. because general audiences suck too hard for full release? or to ensure cult classic status? either way, that's fucking ridiculous.

I hate how all the movies like that only are in certain theaters. It's only showing at art theaters here. Maybe i'll go check it out cause it looks pretty interesting.

I saw the trailer and really liked it. It's showing in an art theater near me on Sept. 12th, but im going to the other side of the state for college in 2 days...so hopefully there will be a place out there showing it.

I saw it and thought it was really quite amusing. I hadn't heard of the comic nor the man but knew that Crumb had something to do with it. It was interestingly filmed with some scene actually made to look like a comic scene. I'd see it again.

haven't seen it yet but heard lots of good things from friends...can't wait for the DVD. We have a 6-month-old baby, so movies have to come to us now!

Saw it and really enjoyed it. Originally being from Cleveland, I may have a certain affinity for it, but I think it would appeal to just about anyone.

This just came out on video, I would recommend renting it.
