Madonna and the Gap
 

Does anyone have any ideas why Madonna would be doing adds for the Gap? Don't know why but they really annoy me.

Is she hard up for cash?
Is this the only acting gig she can get?
Does she own stock in the company?
Does she have no shame?

Anyone?

I couldn't figure that one out. I know her movies and records are flopping, but she must have enough money. I would venture to guess she simply enjoys being their spokesperson. Probably gets personal satisfaction out of being a pop culture icon. She did 20 years ago, she probably still does today.

I agree. It looked very cheesy to see her doing a commercial, let alone a GAP commercial :p

Hard up for cash. No other reason the Queen of Pop would be selling out to Gap. It's also publicity for her music because they have an unrealeased tracks cd. Target is doing the same shit with Christina A. and Timberlake.

The Gap does that crap all the time. Remember when Angelica Houston and so forth were the Gap spokesmodels?
My favorite celebrity pitchman is definitely the Shat. Seeing him in a tooth-whitening commercial with no explanation or reference to his presence is most gratifying.

She's in the commercial to connect with "the kids." Madonna doesn't willingly wear Gap jeans, she wears what her corporate masters tell her and her P.R. people aprove.

You'd think with all the millions of dollars she has, she could at least buy a few lessons in "shame."

It's not the worst commercial on television (Are you Gellin'?; Like a felon....), but it's pretty farking close.

It was sad to see Aerosmith lower themselves and do a Gap commercial.

Madonna probably only did the commercial because Donkey Kong was in it and she wants to stay "in touch" with the teens.

The commercials suck and Missy Elliot is a fat cow.
