Ocean's 12?
I absolutely loved Ocean's 11, and I heard they were making a sequel called Ocean's 12, but that was a long time ago and I haven't heard a whisper about it since. Is this true, and if so, where can I get more info?
Why in the hell would they bring back the same villian?
Oh well, as long as it's done as well as the first. |
Ocean's Twelve from the IMDb.
"Production slated to begin early 2004 for release later that year" |
Interesting. I thought the trailers for Oceans Eleven were dumb, but a friend convinced me to see the movie. I'm glad I did, it was awesome. I'm sure I'll see the sequel.
yeah oceans eleven was better than I thought it'd be. Crap name for a sequel though.
Please god no, one was bad enough.
The original was pretty dumb, but when you realize that it was basically an excuse for the rat pack to get together in Vegas, sell out shows, and party a lot the movie makes more sense. he he he The remake was entertaining, but the cast didn't have the same on-screen chemistry and the original. P.S. Anyone surprised that some of the late Mr. Sinatras friends haven't put out a hit on P Diddy and Ashton Coochie for calling themselves "the new Rat Pack". That really needs to stop. If that group was really cool, they would realize it isn't cool to bite a group name. |
Ocean's Eleven was a blast and I raved about it to my friends after seeing it. Then I went to see it again and was bored out of my wits. The coy cleverness of the film was gone. I recommend watching this film, but only once.
p.s. Ocean's 12 is a title almost as bad as Gigli. |
Didn't like Ocean's Eleven...The infiltrate the building bit had been done before. Ending was predictable as well.
Love that movie :D
Ummmm....u guys do know that it was a re-make from an old movie right?
I don't see how anyone can dislike Ocean's 11. I mean yeah it's not too deep, but it's not meant to be. It's just meant to be a fun movie, and I think it succeeds extremely well. Ive seen it several times and it hasn't gotten old.

I really liked the first one but I do agree that the sequel's name is crap...
I could not STAND Don Cheadle's accent in that movie. He should quit trying to sound cockney and stick to making those AWESOME spots he did for last year's NFL playoffs.

It's strange that Don Cheadle didn't get credited for the flick though. I heard that it was due to his wanting top billing and their response being, "Oh yeah, how about no billing!"
Well it was a lot better than the orginal - that was truly crap.
I can dislike Ocean's 11.
It was decently executed fluff, but I don't particularly like fluff, and there is more than enough of it floating around. No interesting character depth, no good humor, just scene after scene of Box-Office-proof cliches gauranteed not to confuse or offend. And it Also had Feedbag "The Horse" Roberts in it. That will kill every movie, except maybe one of those german domination/humiliation flicks. |
I really enjoyed Ocean's Eleven, but I think that a sequel is a really bad idea and that it is a truly awful name.
I liked Oceans Eleven, but Im a bog Clooney fan. Wonder why they never showed the whole tattoo on Brat Pitts hand ????
\ya know, I feel the exact same way. I bought Ocean's Eleven, watched it, and loved it. The second time, it was really boring and I didn't even want to watch the whole thing.

Brad Pitt's character seemed to have alot more to him then they showed in the film. Aside from the tattoo on his hand which you saw briefly, for some reason he was always eating something in every scene. Anyone have an insight to that one?
Meh! It was ok. Like everyone said, it was brainless fluff, but somethimes you can need a film like that. When you're completely wrecked tired, but don't yet want to go to bed, but don't have the energy to actually DO anything, a film like this can be good. That was my state of mind when I watched it, so I enjoyed it a bit.
At least it was well made, well directed "fluff", which is far better than the majority of such films. Meh. Ocean's Twelve however will suck without a shadow of a doubt. |
I didn't mind the first movie, but I just hope Julia Roberts isn't in the second one. yeeeesh
Yeah Oceans Eleven is better than it seemed
Personally, I liked the modern Ocean's 11. The original wasn't bad either. ;)
Not too sure how well a sequel would pan out, but I'll watch it at least once, maybe rent it... |
oceans 12 might just be a working title. they tend to do that sometimes
I loved the music, David Holmes and Steven Soderbergh, unbeatable! He also did Out of Sight's music, brilliant. Check out Rip Rip, wicked track

I enjoyed Ocean's 11 - wasn't a cinematic masterpiece, but it was enjoyable.
Ocean's 12 though is a rediculously stupid title (let's hope it's a working title) and a sequel is a bad idea for this movie in the first place. It will flop. I'll still probably rent it once though. |
i think its a good idea, oceans 12, i know it oceans 11 was a remake but who cares
