Whats the alternate ending to 28 Days Later
 

i just watched a a kvcd of this movie, and im wondering what the other ending was

Alternate ending is not playing yet....

Good question! I thought the first ending was rather weak, personally.

Isn't the "alternate" ending the actual ending that was shown in the original UK version?

I don't know too much about this, as I haven't even seen the movie yet.

I have the U.K. DVD which has the alternate ending. It's really pretty stupid. It's just the regular ending without the guy, so we are to assume the guy died. Pretty stupid. I liked the movie but both endings kind of sucked.

Immediately after they crash through the gate driving away from the mansion...

Selena and Hannah are seen pushing Jim through an abandoned hospital on a gurney. He’s unconscious, but dreaming. The scene cuts back and forth between Selena’s (and to a lesser extent Hannah’s) frantic efforts to revive him with whatever is left in the hospital and Jim hallucinating that he’s riding his bike on a job in front of a distorted background of city streets. As Jim starts to fade, he hallucinates giving up (he waves his arms in disgust) and then getting hit by the car again. Back in reality, Hannah has backed away from the gurney while Selena still tries to revive Jim. Eventually Hannah makes Selena realize that Jim is gone and they both walk away down a long empty corridor.

I thought this was a great movie. The cinematography, the characters, the editing. It was both scary and had good humor to balance it out. One of the better movies i've seen lately, although the use of the alternate ending is kind of gimmicky. Who knows, maybe theres a chance for alternate endings to become a norm, although sitting through a movie twice just for the last five minutes is kind of annoying.

What a disappointment...not the movie, but the alternate ending...they made it out to be this big "shocker" in the ads, but the alternate ending was a big let down...no big deal...

The movie however was great...:-)

I never quite bit into him living in the first place. Guess they think the American Aud. can't handle a non-hollywood ending. Thanks for letting me know the alternate. Just saved me eight bucks.
