For all of you Episode I & II haters out there

There is a book called "A Galaxy Not So Far Away", which is a collection of articles written about Star Wars from varied authors, including Kevin Smith.
One of the articles, written by Todd Hanson of the Onion, is called "A Big Dumb Movie About Space Wizards: Struggling To Cope With The Phantom Menace" helps to put the backlash into perspective, IMO. Anyways, it's a pretty damn funny article by itself.
It was also featured in the Empire Magazine issue with Terminator 3 on the cover (can't remember the month).
Everyone should read it!

I cannot seem to find a link to a copy of the article on the web...

bottom line with those movies was that they really were boring to watch. With LOTR and Matrix, those two movies look even more amateurish and too fake. The action also does not compare to that of LOTR and Matrix.

Sounds interesting. If you want a funny review check out the Phantom Menace review at

www.ruthlessreviews.com

I was laughing my ass off by the time I got done with that one. Best review of the Phantom Menace I read. But I would like to check out the Kevin Smith article.

I don't mind those two movies - I actually like Phantom Menace a lot after seeing it a bunch of times.

It still slows down in the middle, but I think it's a pretty well put-togther flick.

Can't find the magazine here. Too bad... Kevin Smith is such a fanatical Star Wars fan that I'm sure it would be interesting reading.

Hang on a second. There are actually people here who are debating how bad Episodes 1 and 2 were. Allow me to clarify. If it were not for the name Star Wars in the title, they would easily go down as 2 of the most laughable, ridiculous, worst-acted movies ever.
