What movie have you not see, but all of your friends seen it. But you are embarassed to say you haven't see it?

I have not seen The Matrix, or The Matrix Reloaded.
Spiderman.

I think there are several more, but I just can't think of the name of the movie.

12 Angry Men...I hear it's great and I bet it is, but I just can't motivate myself to watch a movie about jurors.

spiderman, the new matrix, the list goes on and my must rent list has reached a state of no return lol.

i generally don't like watching movies (attention-span issues)..

but i'm trying to 'force' myself to sit still long enough to see some of the 'classics' as in 'the good movies everyone should see'.

(ps) regarding the first post..i've seen both matrixes, but not spiderman..but i'm not embarrased about spiderman. i generally don't like a movie just becuase it's a hollywood blockbuster. bleh.

I haven't seen any of the Indiana Jones, Fight Club, or any of the Godfathers. I normally don't watch that many movies, so chances are if you mention a movie, I haven't seen it.

The Godfather trilogy... I can't say why I haven't seen it... I even had them given to me recently on DVD...

Dziga Vertov's Man With a Movie Camera (1929)... not so much that I really want to see this but I have fallen asleep through this film everytime I've watched... twice while I was a TA and had to do a lesson on the film.

The Terminator movies. I always get ripped on for that. Also the Godfather series.

That's it. Godfather, and Scarface.

In my case I guess it's age. I'm only 18. Very few of my friends have seen it. Sad, really, I hear they are some of the best films the last century had to offer.. gotta pick em up from the rental store some time soon.

I'd have to say The Godfather Trilogy as well. I just haven't had the effort to sit down for x amount of hours.

has anyone seen the godfather? cuz i haven't either... also fight club terminators, scarface, a few good men, braveheart, any of the die hards, any of the lethal weapons. i guess i miss quite a bit on tv and in conversations because people are constantly referencing these movies. i just don't see a lot of movies where people are shot, blown up or otherwise killed and/or maimed.

This Godfather-less thread is amazing. I personally love the trilogy, but I also love stuff to do with gangsters. It's all so interesting.

This is hard to say since I try to see any movie I can that seems good....

I guess maybe Taxi Driver. I have only seen the very end of it cause my roommate was watching it when I came home one day.

Godfather and Scarface. I actually own Scarface. I bought it incase I ever ended up on MTV cribs. I really need to watch it.

Sweet Jesus, I own everything mentioned in this thread so far. Well, aside from Matrix: Reloaded, but I've got a copy on my fileshare at work, lol. Does that make me a movie geek?

I think the main movie that I'm pissed at myself for not seeing so far is Bottle Rocket. It's Wes Anderson's first movie, and I love (and own) his other two (Rushmore and Royal Tenenbaums). In fact I think Royal Tenenbaums is my second favorite comedy behind Kubrick's Dr. Strangelove. It's also Luke and Owen Wilson's first fim roles, and I really like both of them in almost everything they've done, Shanghai Noon aside. That's just because I HATE Jackie Chan's US flicks, even though Chris Tucker makes the Rush Hour movies almost watchable.

Sorry, going off on a geek tangent. So yeah, Bottle Rocket.

I hadnt seen Fellowship of The Ring until it was nearly time for The Two Towers to come out.

Not a movie fan at all, I can count the movies I've seen in the past 3 years on one hand. I'd say The Godfather series, but...

1) Ashamed is far too strong a word

2) I've read all of Mario Puzo's books.

Citizen Kane I haven't seen, and I'm sure there's a few others but I can't think of the names.

I really wish I could say I haven't seen the Godfather movies, because they were the biggest waste of 6 hours of my life I've ever had, and I only watched the first 2. I also stopped watching Scarface about an hour and a half into it. I wish I could say I hadn't watched that much. Sadly, I have wasted that much of my life on peice of shit movies just because I kept on hearing about how good they are, just to find out that, in my opinion, they're not.

I keep on hearing it is real good, I also had an opportunity to see it at a film festival couple of years ago.

I have a feeling the same will be true this year, I had the chance to see "City of God" at another film fest, but decided not to.

I've never seen any of the Rambo movies, but not too ebarassed about that.

i never saw Animal House....and yes, i am a college student. it is quite embarrassing. i didnt see the godfather movies until i got them on DVD for christmas, and, believe me, i was REALLY missing out. they are amazing movies

Haven't seen any of those Hannibal movies... Red Dragon, whatever. Another vote for Scarface and Godfather. Dances with Wolves, Braveheart (only seen the beginning 100+ times), any of the Evil Dead movies (seen small parts of the movies here and there), Mallrats or "Clerks" or whatever that shit is called (I intentionally avoid this movie because the people who highly recommend this movie to me all the time also happen to ooze hypocrisy from every orifice of their body), and every other crappy movie that people think I should've seen but haven't.

The only movies you should be ashamed of for not having seen (that I know of) are:

Star Wars series (granted they're not that great, but you just have to watch them)

I hate to say it, but I've never seen the first chapter of Lord of the Rings

being the big movie freak that I am, people have told me it's unbelievable and some call me a fricking liar when I say that I've not seen the following movies :)

The Godfather trilogy, the Idiana Jones trilogy and the Terminatory trilogy, those three part series scare me, lol

I havene't seen Titanic or either of the Lord of the Rings and I don't plan on it.

I want to be the only person on the face of the earth to have not seen Titanic. It's a boat, it hits an iceberg, it sinks, people die. GET OVER IT!!!!!

The Lord of the Rings I will probably see, but just haven't had the gumption yet.

i've never seen any of the godfather movies. i've never seen any of the starwars movies. i've never seen tons of the stuff someone at this point in time, at my age, should have seen - swiners, resevoir dogs, and tons of other stuff that always seems to come up in conversation.

I still haven't seen the Godfather movies, or Fight Club. Those are the ones I am ashamed of not seeing.

I can sadly say that I have never seen Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.

I have those same aspirations...I have no plans whatsoever to see it.

I hadn't watched the Matrix nearly until Reloaded was out, thank god I did. What haven't I see? Too many, I rarely go to the movies. Monty Python probably, my shame in not seeing Python tells a lot about the company I keep. :)

I choose not to see certain movies. In the age of filesharing, I see stuff that seem to look good to me. I use IMDB heavily.. if I hear about a movie (or like it's trailer) and it has more than 7.0 on IMDB, then I'll watch it. Most of the time.

I think its great when you actually do catch up with a movie that you have previously missed, I recently saw for the first time Get Shorty and the Exorcist and really enjoyed both.

Still not seen Pulp Fiction or a Clock Work Orange.

Clockwork Orange is a must see even though it does seem kind of dated now.
