Americans are infatuated with happy endings. Shame it almost always spoils the movie.

I think the better question would be which movies DON'T have a happy ending. That list would be substantially shorter, at least, and the question would be a little easier to answer.

For the record, I'm a sucker for happy endings to Disney and romance movies.

It was a good sort of happy ending, in that there was sadness in it too.
