Outrage

Is this going to be an eye-opening film, or do many Americans already know this kind of thing is going on?

It's this sort of issue that has me still thinking that America is far more conservative than I can imagine.

Are gay republicans really this self-loathing?

I'm intrigued. I want to see this film.

Anyone else?

I honestly don't know how wide-spread knowledge of Republican homosexual hypocrisy is. I've been aware of it for maybe the past 4 years, and some of my friends have discussed it with me. I think we've had a few discussions here on TFP regarding homophobic Republicans, conservatives, or religious fundamentalists that turned out to be self-loathing homosexuals.

Some clearly are. I think the first time I heard about this was Ed Schrock, so that would be around 2004. There have been plenty that have been exposed since.

I'd very much like to see this film.

My mom gave me a book for one Christmas called Do as I Say (Not as I Do): Profiles in Liberal Hypocrisy. Oddly enough, she also gave me Obama's first book.

It was an interesting collection of hypocrites, capped off with an uninteresting and really just plain stupid ad hominem attack on liberalism.

I can't see the preview from where I am right now - does this look like it might follow a similar route? Or does it avoid trying to make some dumb overarching argument?

Last I saw, not to many Democrats were tripping themselves over to vote for gay rights.

Last I saw, Democrats weren't trying to prevent homosexuals from having equal rights while they themselves were gay.
