Who Is Watching Bob & Doug?
 

I was always a fan of Bob & Doug McKenzie. I use to watch them all the time on SCTV. I just recently discovered that Global TV is featuring a cartoon with the two characters. It's airing tonight at 7:30. Here is the description they provided.

Bob & Doug is a half hour animated comedy starring Bob & Doug McKenzie (Dave Thomas and Dave Coullier). The show features the adventures of Bob and Doug and their friends in the Canadian town of Maple Lake and beyond.

The fictional town of Maple Lake is a typical suburban Canadian town, which lies across the river from a typical American city, JFK City and a few miles west of Toronto. Maple Lake is a pastoral, idyllic representation of a typical Canadian suburb. It’s what the Americans think Canada is like. Providing contrast to Maple Lake, JFK City, Maple Lake’s American neighbor city; is a hotbed of crime, porn, violence and other nefarious activity.

In Maple Lake, when they’re not working on their garbage route or hanging out at home, Bob and Doug’s main hangout is the Skate N’ Bowl – a combination skating rink and bowling alley. There is also a little bar at the Skate ‘n Bowl where the guys can gather and have a beer.

I'm so excited for this show. My only fear is that it turns out to be crap and can't come close to touching what they did on SCTV or the film Strange Brew. What do you all think? Anyone else watching it tonight?

I was fairly interested untill I read Dave Coullier.... I mean seriously blah

I loved Bob and Doug back in the day and after watching brother bear 1&2 with my kids it kinda rekindled that memory... but no Rick Moranis? WTF
