Help! What is this movie!
 

I saw this movie years and years ago on television. Probably early 80s. I was probably like six when I saw it. It has a family on a vacation or something, and the RV or van they are in falls off a cliff or something, and the boy is the only survivor, and I think he has to live in the woods. I'm hoping someone here knows, it'd be cool to finally know what movie that is.

Any idea of the actors?

I was very young, actually probably younger than six, so I have no idea who acted in it. I was about the age where I thought little people played instruments inside the stereo.

That's all I recall. I figure if someone else has seen it, they'd remember.

There's one where a boy crashes in a small plane and is the only survivor and has to live in the woods alone. I believe it's called "Hatchet" since that's what he uses to survive with. That may be the one you're talking about, but I'm not sure.

That's what I was thinking of Kyp. I don't know if it ever became a movie, but it sounds exactly like the book.

I'm pretty sure it was made into a movie, but it wasn't a big hollywood movie or anything, probably just a TV movie, so it'd be really hard to find it.

Yes, that is it! Thank you! I went to the link you posted, and searched around a bit more until I found some screen shots, and this is certainly the movie. I had no idea the Silver Spoons kid was in it. Thanks again.

Hatchet is a movie too? I read the book 4 or 5 years ago. It was no hell. :S
