I watched 'The Unit' on CBS every week, I dig the military shows, then they suddenly got the wives mixed in with the missions and the wives became part of 'The Unit' or something, never been able to figure out why, haven't really bothered, all I know is they should have stopped the show last season rather than have the wives become spec-ops like the husbands.

I'll throw in another Weeds is still fuckin awesome, love that show, can't wait for the new season, hopefully back in Agrestic, or Majestic.

Possible jumping points:

When the crew stopped going to Sid's restaurant for no explainable reason.

The season 3 finale, and Zack's demise.

The return of Zack.

The rotating assistants.

Angela/Hodges seperation after the forgotten marriage plot.

24 jumped the shark twice, either side of the excellent series 5. Seems to be redeeming itself with series 7 though. I've seen a few people mention Buffy - Angel jumped the shark in series 5, though that may have something to do with it's budget being massively cut and then the series unexpectedly canned halfway through, leaving the writers with only a few episodes to tie everything up.

Here's a question though, would you rather your favourite show jump the shark, or not have the chance to? I'd have love to see Firefly get more than 14 episodes for instance, and I have similar fears about Terminator too.

Nip/Tuck jumped it after Season 2. What a fantastic show that was basically driven into the ground.

I've yet to put my finger on it, but Rescue Me apparently jumped it a couple of seasons ago. New episodes start in April and it occured to me when I thought about posting it in the RM thread here, that we went through the last season of it without posting anything about it that I can recall.

I agree to all of this.

I love 24 but I've only watched until the end of Season 4. Was a good enough ending for me. I have had the opportunity to watch the remaining series but haven't done it so far.

Me three. Nobody in their right mind would consider David Caruso tough or cool.
