Survivor Superfans vs. All-Stars

Well, February 7th launches the 16th season of this show. Wow. I can't believe its been so many. This is the all-star cast list that I've heard about....

Spoiler:
Pavarti (cook islands)
Eliza (vanuatu)
Ami (vanuatu)
Johnny Fairplay (pirate islands)
Jonathan (cook islands)
Yau-man (fiji)
James (china)
Amanda (china)
Ozzy (cook islands)

I barely remember who a couple of them are.....

ShaniFaye 12-17-2007 06:41 AM

yau-man changed his mind? last I heard he absolutely refused to do an all stars

Derwood 12-17-2007 07:06 AM

it's a nice twist compared to just another All-Stars. I thought they were doing another one in china? How far is Micronesia from China?

Maybe it was a swerve on his part. This cast list is only rumored, nothing confirmed yet. If you remember last night they stated that one person from Survivor China would be at the all-stars, but there is two listed.....

ShaniFaye 12-17-2007 07:31 AM

I havent gotten to see the finale yet

streak_56 12-17-2007 08:09 AM

For an All stars list, this list is not really encompassing some of the people that I think would be considered an "All Star." It's basically three seasons with the exception of Johnny mashed together. I probably won't watch it another season of survivor till they bring it to Canada, which would be interesting.

Derwood 12-17-2007 10:03 AM

he said "at least one person" from China would be on all-stars

casual user 12-17-2007 07:32 PM

i actually thought that it was going to be an all-stars season at first, and all of those people, excepting ami, were on my list to be on that season. it's kind of odd, because i only picked a couple people from each season

but seriously, no guatemala, palau, or whatever terry's season was people? damn, those were three of my favorite seasons.

Derwood 01-06-2008 10:47 AM

the spoilers list in the first post here is the official list. it was in Entertainment Weekly this week

oh, Cerie is the 10th member of the All-Star tribe

ShaniFaye 01-06-2008 12:41 PM

<3 Amanda

Lasereth 01-07-2008 06:05 PM

I can't wait. I had never seen Survivor before China in 2007 but now I'm a huge fan.

Zotz 01-14-2008 04:31 PM

I can't wait! Jonny Fairplay and Yau Man on the same team! should be interesting

Daval 01-15-2008 05:51 AM

I'm really stoked too. Has anyone seen the survivor abduction commercials? they are hillarious.

Fremen 01-16-2008 11:05 PM

Yeah, I saw the one where they abducted the chatterbox off of the treadmill. Pretty funny.

dirtyrascal7 02-06-2008 05:25 PM

Don't forget, people... tomorrow night!

Daval 02-08-2008 08:10 AM

I was surprised that Fairplay was the first to go. I woulda loved to see him go far in the game. He's entertaining as hell and fun to hate.

That crazy lady is just wacko, she's gonna be fun to watch as well.

The nipples on fake boob lady are just huge.

Amanda looks like she's gained a lot of weight, her boobs looked huge and her butt bigger. Or am I imagining things? They barely showed her on camera this week.

Whatchall think of the first episode?

ShaniFaye 02-08-2008 08:31 AM

I havent gotten to see all of it yet, I kinda saw the middle

glad to hear Johnny went first though, I cant stand him lol

I did love the exchange between him and Jeff about Johnny's clothes

Daval 02-08-2008 09:59 AM

I'm not a huge fairplay fan either, but i'd rather there be a source of conflict rather than everyone being all happy happy joy joy.

Fremen 02-09-2008 12:39 AM

It started off well with him cracking his head on the boat, and ended better when he was voted out.

Am I the only one who was cheering the fans on to win immunity? :)

Derwood 02-09-2008 07:27 PM

my initial reaction was that they spent way too much time showing us the people we already know and almost no time on the people we don't.

Derwood 03-07-2008 09:19 AM

well crap, Joel is gone. This is quickly turning into a season where the old/weak/shitty players gang up on the good ones, leaving us with a completely undeserving winner. All I can do now is root for Ozzy or James

Daval 03-07-2008 10:38 AM

I really hope Ozzy wins. He's just so damned awesome.

*Nikki* 03-07-2008 01:51 PM

Ozzy seems to me like he is super human. It amazes me the things he can do. Not to mention how damn hot he is!

thespian86 03-09-2008 12:42 PM

I'm really glad I'm not the only one sitting here thinking "holy shit they are dumb". What is up?! "We are losing everything... what to do? Keep the really weak player, or the one who is ripping it up at challanges?" Maybe he's not the greatest team player but in the end, no matter how good you are at communicating, if you can't perform the task set in front of you, what's the point? I expect more of Ozzie.

And this year marks the first one since I've had a crush on a player since Colleen Haskell. Anyone really digging Alexis? With her meeting my girl next door quota, and Chelsia Hart of BB9 filling my sexy academic slot, I'm a happy camper.

Lasereth 03-10-2008 02:58 PM

Every week that Chet stays on the show is a good week for me. It is downright entertaining to see someone as bad as Chet stay on the show through his little circle's deceit. I guess they deserve to still be on the show because they played Joel like a fiddle.

Daval 03-14-2008 04:16 AM

Well Chet could have made an impact on the game and then just walked out, yet he takes the cowards way out. Good Riddance.

Although I am rooting for Ozzy to win, this would have been a huge move and I would have respected it.

Derwood 03-14-2008 05:03 AM

there was something they didn't show us though. why did Chet and Tracey vote for Erik? at what point did voting out Ozzie get tossed out the window?

Daval 03-14-2008 06:06 AM

Tracey refused to put Chets name down on the ballot for principle, she thought of him as her closest Ally and did not put his name out of respect. why they picked Eric I have no idea.

i mean clearly Chet decided he wanted to go home but they didn't show it because it would have killed the viewer tension at tribal council. but at least put a scare into Ozzy or something. of course having just typed that, maybe they don't want Ozzy to know they want him out

Yeah, they dont want Ozzy to know whats up. If they truly feel that Ozzy has the immunity idol then the only way to get hi out is to back door him. That way he doesnt show up to tribal councel with the idol to play.

*Nikki* 03-21-2008 07:49 PM

They so could have taken Ozzy down this past episode. They are going to be so sorry they didn't!!

Lasereth 04-19-2008 12:40 PM

Ouch. Ozzy had it coming though. I now have no clue what to expect on this season. There's no front runner anymore and the powerful Ozzy communion is broken!!

Derwood 04-20-2008 08:03 AM

correct me if i'm wrong, but i don't believe a hidden immunity idol has ever actually been played the way it was designed to be. Yul used his as a power move, James and Ozzy took their's with them on the way out of tribal council. I don't remember if Yau-Man used his or not

Derwood 04-26-2008 06:26 AM

this just in: everyone on Survivor is stupid

except James
and Amanda

Lasereth 04-26-2008 12:03 PM

I think James and Amanda are stupid due to the last episode. They're now outnumbered 4 to 3.

If they would have simply went to Jason and said "they're voting you off, use the idol. Vote for Natalie." they could have voted off Parvati or Natalie, breaking up that alliance and making it 3-4 instead of 5-3. Plus Jason's idol would have been used and his power would have been taken away. Seriously, it makes perfect sense...all they had to do is say "use the idol" and bam, entire game turned around in their favor. Instead they did nothing and now they're outnumbered and screwed.

ShaniFaye 04-26-2008 02:40 PM

Is anyone watching the videos on the cbs site of the jury where they are staying at once they are voted off? Im glad they are doing that this time, its actually pretty interesting

Isn't James the guy that got voted out with two immunity idols in his possession?

true, but he has one of the most finely tuned bullshit-meters i've ever seen on this show

Lasereth 05-02-2008 03:25 AM

GOOO AMANDA

GOOO AMANDA

GOOOOOOOOOO AMANDA!!!!!!!!!!! I can't believe she actually used the idol. She was bullshitting it so well too.

Daval 05-02-2008 04:51 AM

Man, that was so awesome! I would have rather seen Natalie go because she is demon spawn, but Alexis was definately a jury votes threat. But I think she would have been useless at upcoming challenges.

Amanda should be an actress she really played that well. I figured there was no way she didnt have it, but she played it so well. I was thrilled that Parvati didnt backstab her too :)

GO AMANDA!

Derwood 05-02-2008 04:36 PM

as soon as they DIDN'T show her finding it, I knew she had it.

too bad about James

now if only Amanda can get to the end again, only this time, not completely fucking up a sure win like last season

*Nikki* 05-03-2008 07:52 PM

Yes it is too bad about James!! I really adore him :)

kutulu 05-09-2008 08:05 AM

This has turned out to be such a great season. What happened last night was the best blindside ever.

JamesB 05-09-2008 12:51 PM

Erik is the biggest douche bag ever.
Parv. said it best in her little "vote speech" though.
Man what an idiot ...

Derwood 05-09-2008 04:03 PM

amazing that the kid was still starstruck over his "Survivor Heroes" after a month of being with them 24/7. you'd think the shine was off.

*Nikki* 05-09-2008 07:39 PM

Erik=idiot.

He got what he deserved!!

Daval 05-11-2008 06:15 AM

wow. utterly stunned.

Derwood 05-11-2008 06:20 AM

Finale/Reunion is tonight. I'll be at a concert and will have to avoid finding out who won until Monday night

Lasereth 05-11-2008 08:02 AM

Oh man last thursday's episode was really good. This is turning into a great season (I didn't like it at first). Incredible blindsides, people taken out of the game, etc. Plus it's downright hilarious at times. I love how the editors could do nothing but show the girls voting for Erik because of how stupid his decision was.

i agree. there was 0 mystery as to who was going, so why not just rub it in?

I'm still pulling for Amanda (giggity) and she would be smartest to get Natalie out so she's up against Parvati and Cirie in the final

Daval 05-11-2008 06:08 PM

Well, Parvati winning, for me at least, completes the season of blindsides. Didn't see it coming.

Dammit, that's what I get for jumping on TFP after work. Aw, well. I guess I can still check out the reactions of everyone on Tivo.

Lasereth 05-11-2008 07:30 PM

Ok how did Parvati who did nothing the entire season win? I guess Amanda pissed a few people off at the end and as usual did horrible in the final tribal council speech. Oh well...

Fremen 05-12-2008 12:38 AM

Holy shit! I forgot the finale was Sunday night!

So, Parvati won?
Meh...better than Amanda winning, I guess. She pissed me off the way she was treating the last man on the island (forgot his name), but she's still a hottie.

Shite, sorry, I should have spoiler tagged my post.

Derwood 05-12-2008 08:26 PM

i can't believe Amanda blew it twice. if she acted in those final tribals the way she acted for the cameras in the side interviews, she'd be in. i thought she'd learn her lesson about being too apologetic and trying to make nice in the final council

Fremen 05-12-2008 11:23 PM

Where's the next Survivor location?

ShaniFaye 05-13-2008 01:38 AM

The next location is Africa....i cant remember the city

Derwood 05-13-2008 04:22 AM

Gabon

When she did the final tribal council in Micronesia she hadnt been to the China finale yet. She left for Micronesia like within 6 weeks of leaving China. She had no opportunity to learn from those mistakes.

Lasereth 05-13-2008 06:21 AM

Why would they let her go back on Micronesia without knowing if she won the $1,000,000 from China yet?

Daval 05-13-2008 06:45 AM

The producers know what the votes are, the final tribal council for China had already happened. Also, for a 'favourites or all-stars' version they have used $1,000,000 winners as well, such as richard hatch, tina wessen, the football player dude, etc.

Lasereth 05-13-2008 06:54 AM

So I guess it's not unrealistic to assume all of the Survivor cast knows who won before the votes are read live?

(Sorry I'm new to Survivor, China was my first season I watched but I've seen the entirety of Borneo and Vanuatu now)

Fremen 05-14-2008 12:56 AM

Thanks, Shani and Der.

no they don't know. Borneo was the only season they read the votes on the island. every year since they've had to wait until the reunion show.

Daval 05-15-2008 05:13 AM

Yup, they have to wait around 4 - 6 months to see who wins. Thats why they usually look so different.
