Clive Barker
 

I just saw a clip of an interview with Clive Barker and he looked like shit. Even the announcer of the clip described him as 'ailing.' Does anyone know if Clive is sick? I ran a google search but didnt' come up with anything.

I noticed that, after Clive came out of the closet (which was quite some time ago), his appearance changed quite a bit. Not that the two have any correlation, obviously, but he seemed to change physically quite a bit. Grew muscles and and a goatee and quickly aquired a sort of "used" appearance. He looks like he's been living too hard, for too long, or something.

He spends too much time in an alternate world. It's very taxing on the body & soul!

He needs to write more books like Weaveworld and Imajica.

Yeah, I noticed this earlier in the year and was terrified. At first I thought he just had a bad cold in the first video clip with his voice like that, then I see it's a constant throughout all the videos I see him in. He is one of the most creative and inspiring artists alive and I really hope he's ok. It would be a shame to lose him now when he could easily have another 20 or more years of amazing work left in him.

I just reread Imajica the other day. Of course now i'm on a Clive kick so it'll be Great and Secret Show along with it's sequel next.

I never really got into the Abarat books. Either way one of my favorite and creative writers.
