Val is in a place where he does "fuck it" work because it's fun. I LOVED Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. It was not mainstream or anything even close, but it looked like he had a blast.
How much fun would it be to do KITT? I'd do it for $15k a year. |

Val did a great job in Larry McMurtry's Comanche Moon this past month.
If you missed it and you like Westerns, try to rent it when it hits the stores. It's a prequel to Lonesome Dove. http://imdb.com/title/tt0783328/

Well that wasn't so bad now was it?
Is it true that in the US there was a Ford logo in the corner of the screen for the entire show?

Meh, not bad and not stellar. 6/10
Spoiler: It was nice to see the original Michael Knight and I love Val Kilmer (after Kiss Kiss Bang Bang), but I hope they don't make him into a Spock/Data/Odo/Tuvok/T'Pol carbon copy; the emotionless character striving to be human or whatever. |

Well, we liked it. You can view the movie online at nbc dot com.
http://www.nbc.com/Knight_Rider/video/episodes.shtml I just started watching it to see if you have to pay for it. Nope, it's free. Hehe...it says 'this presentation sponsored by Suzuki. I restarted it accidentally, and it went to being sponsored by Nissan.

I like the fact that it streams very quickly, and with my adblocker, I don't see the ads. ABC has a check wherein if the ad doesn't play the rest of the show doesn't start.

They cut 40 minutes of commercials out of the online version. The rest is the same. The ads that do show, only run for less than a minute, instead of 5 or so on tv last night. Now, if I can figure out how to hook up the tv to the computer...

I just watched it, and I was pleasantly surprised. I'm glads that they decided to continue the story, rather than starting from scratch/"re-imagining". I also liked Val Kilmer as KITT, but I wonder if he'll be able to stick it out should the series become popular enough for a multi-season run. From what I've heard, he's notoriously difficult to work with, but since it's just voice over work he may be able to "play nice".
I don't know about anyone else, but I kind of respect the that they are not trying to hide the fact that this is a big fat commercial, and the "proper" Ford commercials commercials were actually kind of funny.

just watched it. It's a lot less cheesy than the original was (though I confess to having loved the orig. as a younger-person) . . .but the one scene where
Spoiler: the SUV crashes into KITT, and KITT doesn't even MOVE, was just stupid. It's physically impossible, and to such an absurd degree that it destroys the suspension of disbelief. |
