Hot Fuzz the new film from the Shaun of the Dead guys (Simon Pegg, Edgar Wright) looks like it's going to be just as good, if not better.

Looks cool. Can't wait for it. Shaun is one of my favorite films of all time, and Spaced is right up there for greatest comedy show ever.

Just watched this film yesterday, easily one of the funniest i've ever seen!

A tad gory in parts, but such a well made spoof of action films that you totally go along with it. Makes me wana be a police officer (watch and you'll understand) all over again.

Looking foreward to it, those guys are hilarious. Shaun of the Dead is one of me favorites.

Anyone know if/when it will hit US theaters?

According to wikipedia, a limited release on 20 April.

I was chatting on-line with a girl in England that saw this movie last weekend. She thought it was funny. I just wonder how well it will do in the US.

Some of the observational humor about the police that makes it funny will go over the heads of other nationalities, but the action sequences will make anyone laugh.

I think it will do well, not great, but not bad.

Ok I will give into my son and go get Shaun of the dead today and give it a watch. I know I wanted to see HOT FUZZ after I saw the trailer in our theatre..

If you like these films, get "Spaced" on DVD too - it's a UK TV show that Pegg wrote and starred in before he got into movies.

A bit disappointing - not as good as Shaun of the Dead. Thought it was a bit over long - the end shoot out was good through.

Quite funny in places, really enjoyed it. Although could of been cut down by about 15 mins.

I'll second this. Spaced is one of my favorite TV comedies of all time. And it's not just Simon Pegg that connects the two - Edgar Wright as director, Nick Frost as actor and Nira Park as producer. Shaun of the Dead has tons of references to Spaced (and bizarrely enough, Spaced even has a reference to Shaun! :crazy: :lol:).
