What's Eating Gilbert Grape?
 

I saw the movie, and I decided I wanted to read the book. I didn't regret it, it's an absolutely wonderful book. It's very captivating, you just can't stop reading! The word choice and writing style of the author is fantastic. Has anyone here read it?

One of the most overrated movies I've ever seen. I really really really like Depp usually, but the movie drove me nuts. I wasn't intrigued, I wasn't interested, I was annoyed. Does the book make the characters more three dimensional and easier to relate to?

this is one of my favorite movies of all time. you don't see many movies like this that are so simple yet so effective. I love it. all of the actors/actresses excel in this movie.

Redjake and I, perhaps, should not be watching movies together. We seem to, uh, have differences of opinion.

Didn't Leo DiCaprio get an oscar nom for his part in this movie?
