I simply cannot wait for this movie, its like a mix of Resident Evil / Aeon Flux / Equilibrium all in one.

For a first trailer, thats got some serious goodness around it.

Count me in. That looks pretty darn good. I like Mila, I like sci-fi, I like action.

Any backstory i should know about? Based on a super-cult comic or graphic novel is it? How about some TV series only seen is Kalu Lampur on Wednesdays, produced by underground mutants who draw it with thier own spit and dirt ink, and imported by manic fan-boys who will whine huge thread lengths about the movie's lack of closeness to the original?

Or, by jove, is this somthing new? Is there a chance that's possible? Please, someone tell me it's so.

I do believe that it's original. The only "context" you might want is to see Equilibrium, but that's only to familiarize yourself with the writer/director's movie-making style.

Additionally: gun-kata.

SO HOT. I can't wait to see this. If it's anywhere in the range of Equilibrium, it'll be wild good ride.

(On a side note, was anyone else unable to play Half Life 2 without constantly thinking about Equilibrium? I sure couldn't.)

Oddball rumors going around for this movie:

Kurt Wimmer has been removed as director by screen gems, and they are editing as they please. (Zero backing on this one)

And then a potentially true rumor, its no longer being released on Feb 24th. Sony use to have the exact release date on the website and posters but now everything has been changed to "Comming Soon"...

So sadly that helps put truth into the first rumor for leaving editing time. Which I hope is false! I love Kurts movies.

Yea they had the add up for this at Underworld 2. Me and my buddy just looked at eachother after it was done and were both just stunned by how sweet it looks. But its gonna be total hollywood cheese.

Kurt Wimmer really pulled things together for "Equlibrium" so I'm hopeful he can do the same for this.

The story doesn't seem too exciting, but damn if those action sequences don't look cool.
