T-Shirt for my kid

Luckily, my kids are still young enough that my mediocre skills with an airbrush are considered fine art. The Iron Giant shirt I made for Clavus Jr. is still his favorite.

Barbarian Child loves dinosaurs. So he'll find this shirt under his Christmas tree.

Clavus - that is AWESOME! I know more than a few kids who would consider that shirt their best gift all year :) *monkie still considers herself a kidd too :D *

 Very impressive Clavus!!

Oh wow!
That takes some skill. Looks like you had some fun with the claws.

Clavus... I am making some T-shirts for my son this Christmas. Did you use those inkjet iron-on things or some other process?

The dinosaur is cool by the way... I am sure the barbarian will love it.

that is one lucky barbarian child...

that is adorable and i'm sure it will be the star of his wardrobe..

No way, that's airbrush all the way. BTW, have you posted the Iron Giant one?

barenakedladies 12-08-2005 06:39 AM

very impressive airbrushing skills.

I dabble in airbrushing myself... but never tried a t shirt before.

Nice work.

Meditrina 12-08-2005 07:39 AM

Wow! that is great. Not only would my son love that dinosaur, but he would also love the Iron Giant. Ever consider selling some? :D

clavus 12-08-2005 09:14 AM

Y'all are very sweet. Mister Coaster is correct, it was airbrush...and lots of little bits of paper for the masking.

The Iron giant was never posted. It is not post-worthy, since it has been washed about 5,321,962 times and is pretty faded.

I've never considered selling anything. (I give away just about everything I make.) Believe it or not, that shirt represents about 4 hours of work (it took 3 hours to paint it). I'd have to sell shirts for a LOT of money to beat burger-flipping wages.

He has 'casper the ghost' friendly eyes, even though his teeth tell another story. It might look a little less stark with some background?

how fun that you can do that for your kid, and that he'll love it!

clavus 12-08-2005 09:41 AM

I agree. The next shirt I do will have background on it.

Fly 12-09-2005 09:22 AM

you are the fuckin' dad dude..........lucky kids you have clavus.

longbough 12-09-2005 10:54 AM

I love it!
I'd buy one if I saw it in a store ... for myself.
It's perfect the way it is ...

pinkie 12-09-2005 03:02 PM

That's great, Clavus!

doodlebird 12-09-2005 11:18 PM

that rocks clavus. your little dude is a lucky little dude. you've got just enough mean in there to not be too barney-dino, but not too much to make anyone pee on themself.
