I've just finished a portrait of my love in Illustrator. I'm pretty pleased with it.

It's awesome my dear! I was just wondering about the mix of styles.. the hair/clothes is cartoony whereas the face is all watercolor-like? :hmm:

Nancy, if you were a critic, I'd say that the mix of styles is to emphasize his face and the loveliness therein, but since you're not really, the mix of styles is because I got lazy with the shirt.

The glasses are almost dead on (thanks for leaving out the bifocal line). My hair is not that long, though, and I part it on the side and comb it back.
The eyes are the wrong color. I have brown eyes. And I usually wear collared button front shirts.

It's pretty cool how the intelligence of the subject was retained through the drawing of the eyes.
