I finished this painting last night. Each year I do some artwork to put on our Christmas cards we send out. In years past I have done intaglio prints that I numbered and signed. This year the list is simply too big for me to be able to pull so many prints so I did this digital painting and had them printed them on cardstock. I used a lady down the street who recently had a baby to model for me.

Great painting.

Since I do alot of graphic design, I'd say that you could have spaced the lines out to fill up more of the black space.

Great work. Makes a nice card

I know absolutely nothing about digital art but whatever you had to do to get it looking that good was well done.

Good point. I always go for broke on the illustration and skimp on the attention I pay to graphic design elements, maybe someday I'll be able to do both.

Nicely done!

The only nitpick I can see is the left eyebrow area of the baby, that line of lighter colour that extends down to the bottom of his ear doesn't look right. the forearm/hand is a little flat too, but it's irrelevant really.

I'm sure your friends and family will enjoy the christmas card.
