New Drawings, Street Fighter II
 

My friends and I are looking to build a MAME cabinet, and we all love Street Fighter. I have been drawing out some artwork for the side panels of the cabinet. I started a few charictors by finding images on the internet, then tracing them. I quickly decided that I'd rather try my hand at drawing original artwork. Here are the first 5 I have gotten done. All were hand sketched, then redrawn and colored in Adobe Illustrator.

With skills like that, I see no reason why you should be tracing any artwork. You've got a style all your own. These are some nice pics.

Uhh Uhh Vega is the the coolest fighter in the game... ohh yeah great work :thumbsup:

Nice work! I like the Dhalsim one the best. The way he comes out of Africa is the most subtle. I think it's the skulls that do it.

Vega's is cool, but where are the claws?!

And where's Ken!?

FngKestrel: Don't worry, Ken will be represented. I'll probably be doing all of the original 12 charicters from SFII. Also, I contemplated adding the claw oh Vega's hand. Perhaps I'll do that.

BTW, I was having trouble with that Vega pose, so I modeled for it, LOL!

My mistake on Dhalsim, I'll blame sleep deprivation and an utter lack of geographical knowledge. :D

Those are awesome, I can't wait to see my favourite; E. Honda. I hope you post them once they are all done.

I don't know anything about the game you are using for your inspiration, nor do I understand what you mean about doing a cabinet. I do know skill and clarity of artistic expression though, and I see that in spades here.

That was the only game that made me throw a game controller in frustration! :lol:
