cellophanedeity's work
I love playing around with illustrator. Here are two things I'm particularly happy with.

damn kid!
those are pro quality stuff. i hope you are considering a career in a related field. or at least a life long hobby. they both kick ass in there own way. the chinese food container gets me 'cause i love almost anything to do with food. and the portrait i love for it's ability to convey so much with just one color. keep playing and keep showing us your results. |
That truly is great work! I like both a lot. The first for how clean it looks and how stylish it is. The second for the emotion that comes through.

bring on the buffet!!
i'm all for subtleness and ambiguity, but there's something just perfect (almost anti-magritte) about the way you've included the word "pie" |
Very Impressive Deity.....you have talent to go along with a beautiful face.
|
Thank-you so much! I'm glad you enjoy them.
|
Very nice! How long did it take for you to do those pieces?
|
The first two were somewhere around an hour. The pie took at least two.
|
I esp. love the second one. You are very talented. :)
Sweetpea |
Great stuff. Do you just use a mouse, or some other input device?
|
That really is talent, I'm envious. Take that and run mate, it's obvious that talent is natural.
|
Just mouse work in illustrator. I'm a poor student who can't afford any add ons... or even legal copies of the program! :laughs:
I'd love to do this for a living, but english is even more of a calling for me. I just do this on the side. |
Those are really good there. Honestly. Quality stuff bravo!
Asta!! |
Ooh, is that a pie for me?
It looks delicious. I really like the style, the blocks of colour. Keep at it! |
Here's a new one! Just finished this afternoon!
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...dwhitelady.bmp She's a little messy, but I'm still pleased! Edit: I can't seem to get photobucket to make the picture the real size... does anyone know how to shrink file size? |
Quote:
i'd love to see that last one larger. edit: i just noticed that you have a gradient in the background. gif is the way to go with solid blocks of color like you have in the lady, but with gradients, it can go either way. try it as a jpg and try it as a gif, messing with the quality (jpg) and number of colors (gif) to see which gets the best quality/file size combo. |
I don't know if it helps at all but I downloaded irfanview (freeware) to adjust file sizes of the stuff I scan in. Also, a program (freeware again) called gimp is a poor mans photoshop which has some capabilities you could explore.
I should add that I really like your takeout pic, and the little chair lady is exquisite. |
|
bravo cello. Now for me to try that ...
|
That's awesome! Keep up the great work!

And as a GIF (save to web is in my photoshop, but not my illustrator!) |
Wow that one is really good! She's hot too! If I were an illustrator drawing myself I'd totally want someone to animate me doin her :D.
