(Edit: I was just informed that this is Skeet Ulrich and not Johnny Depp. The website I got the picture from must've been wrong, I'm a moron! :lol: )

Well me and my pencil got together again tonight while watching The Amazing Race, and we finished up this one. It's on 11 x 14 Bristol Board (best paper ever). Halfway through I thought maybe I should have done it in ink, but I guess I could always just do another one.

Wow an altered photograph, that's a compliment. I don't even really like it all that much because I see all the differences with the picture I was drawing from, but I think if it's posted alone it's okay.

Skeet and Johnny look a lot alike. But I think that's Johnny.

Thanks for your comment Hampshire, I've been drawing portraits for nearly 5 years, and every year I seem to get better, so practice does help.. But this stuff isn't hard to me, so I guess it's natural, I don't know :)

Whats fun about your mistake is that you have in fact drawn Johnny Depp. I mean, in your drawing the figure's left cheek is fuller like Depp's, while the actor in the original picture has a flatter left cheek. you've really seen the person you thought you were drawing in your minds eye.

Haha that is true that I really thought I was drawing Depp.. So if it wasn't looking like Depp, perhaps I did make adjustments, who knows.. It's strange how much the two sometimes look alike though.
