Scene in a dream - anyone know where it is?

I saw a blue house on a wild beach in a few dreams. Anyone seen it? Does it exist? If so, could you tell me please? Thanks!

This is an oil painting I just did of it.

that's nice work Lewis ... i would definitely like to live there

i can think of one similar-ish place, but the house is a little further from the water ...

Great. Where is it?! I got this weird idea that this could be prophetic or something. Not that I would move just on that evidence, but I'd love to know if there is any 'truth' in dreams.

i'll try to find you a picture ... it's the same feeling - house in front of bay

failing that, i'd try the west coast of ireland for that kind of thing - Connemara or similar

EDIT : i better link to this cos it's not really my "OWN WORK ONLY!"

http://www.blackmountaingallery.com/...osilli%202.jpg

the house is about 1/3 of the way up on the right hand side ... doesn't come out too well in this shot

Maybe it's the beach house in the Chevy Chase film "Modern Problems"?

The Dunes remind me of the MI side of Lake Michigan but it's all much more built up than that these days. Some parts still have that same feeling though - serene I guess you could say.

Thanks Apeman, for the photos. Yes, it could be Connemara. I've been there some years ago, and my wife is Irish. She was hoping it wasn't Ireland as she really wants to live somewhere else!

Lake Michigan. That's interesting. I'll check out some pics of that too. We were kind of hoping it was around Vancouver somewhere. We like it there. Bowen Island, maybe?

Yes, I'm kind of hoping its the beach house we'll buy some day. Just hope it's not too cold there!

Don't know 'Modern Problems'..... I'm kind of trying to avoid those.

Thanks Bernadette for the kind comments. Much appreciated. Maybe we should rent the house and just imagine.....

It reminds me of the house on the beach in "Deep Impact." You know, the one where Tea Leoni goes to get swallowed up by the giant tsunami.

Of course, I haven't seen that movie in quite a while, so I could be grossly mistaken. But it's at least the place the picture reminds me of.

It kind of reminds me of the beach house in "Forever Young" with Mel Gibson and Jamie Lee Curtis.

It's a beautiful painting, Lewis.

Thankyou Nafter, Fremen for the comments.

I used to go round Cornwall when I was young, but I really can't remember much of it now. I just have a feeling I won't live in the UK again.

Forever Young. Yes, it could be - and I like the idea!

Yet another amazing piece Lewis! The colors are a bit strange though - yellow clouds?

How big is it?

Well, it was a dream.... Actually, if you look closely, none of it is particularly real. But hey, what's the point in trying to make things look like a photo all the time!?

It's just over a metre wide, on canvas.

Hi, many thanks. I paint in anything! Though I must say, oils are my favourite. There's something very earthy and passionate about them for me. Take a look at www.lewisevans.co.uk.

I agree. The mix of colors still look amizing although they're not "realistic"
